Nice, but slightly flimsy

To start off I must say that I really like the Labtec Axis 502. It has everything I want from a microphone, it is comfortable to wear with soft ear-phones and the top fits my head perfectly. The microphone is unobtrusive and is infintely adjustable,with a small bendable arm at the end of the boom. The NCAT-2 technology is very useful and makes speech recognition much more accurate, even with music playing in the background. The volume control and mute switchs are useful, although i sometimes find myself forgetting to turn the microphone back on, but this is my problem, not the microphones! The headphones produce high quality sound, and are useful for voice conversations, and in games using speech technology. However, one problem i have found, and the reason that i gave it four stars, is that the headset feels slightly flimsy. I often find myself having to adjust the headset to make sure it stays on my head! Despite this small problem I am happy with the microphone and headphones. A good quality product, well worth the price.

Axis 502 :- does the job

These headphones are plastic, but non the less comfortable. The rubber insert at the top works well to soften them slightly, and the earpeace foam is a bit thin, but okay. They stay on the head with an average fit, not tight but not loose either. They are slightly uncomfortable, but after a time you will forget they are there. The mic is extremmely high quality, with very clear voice definition. They are very light, which could be a good or bad point. They could be seen as flimsy, or portable i guess, but u won't wanna sit on these babys! So they are okay, but a full leather surround earpiece would be better. Earphones 3 Mic 5 av 4

Crystal clear sound reproduction and transmit

Fantastic. After wearing them for 5 or so minutes, it feels so light that you don't notice them much and the microphone quality is brilliant. If you are into online gaming, this product is fantastic for team orientated organisation. Ditch that standalone mic, get this, you won't look back.

Labtec Axis 502 Headset/Boom Mic is Great Value

I needed a decent headset for online gaming, and I bought the Axis 502, purely on the strength of the informative reviews here. If you are looking for value for money, you get more for your money with these Labtecs.Very satisfied. But, if you are a hardcore online gamer, used to sessions lasting a whole evening, or longer...well you might end up wishing for better comfort around the ears.Still, great sound-quality for your gaming, and great value for your wallet!

Not for hardcore gamers.

If you are a casual gamer in need of a value headset, then this is for you. The microphone provides good sound so your voice is clean and crisp. However, the headphones are not comfortable and provide inadequate sound quality for the hardcore gamer. I have resorted to hanging the 502 around my neck (to use the mic) and using my old and comfy headphones for sound.
