Brilliant Value

Feb 13, 2004 - By Amazon Customer

Let's face it, most headphones that come with portable players these days simply aren't upto scratch. But thanks to these little wonders, it won't cost you much to really improve the quality of your listening. While the earpiece seemed a little confusing at first, they're surprisingly comfortable and secure.

The price is the real winner here, they're undoubtedly the best sounding earphones you can get for under £20. Even if you break them, you need not worry that little loss, they're covered by Koss's lifetime guaruntee.

Great Sound, Great Price

May 22, 2004 - By P. Li (United Kingdom)

In the past i had many clip-on type earphones, some don't fit very well because the clip are too thin, even expensive ones don't sounds as good as KOSS KSC-50.Never heard of KOSS brand earphones until i browse through AMAZOM electrical page,i thought they look good at a reasonable price so i decided to go for it,after submitted the order through it arrives the next day, that's what i called fast delivery.KOSS KSC-50 produce great sound for under £20,it sounds crystal clear on my personal MD player even with bass level 3,slightly bigger than normal clip-on earphones but ver light.

Made for your ears, but not mine

Jan 6, 2005 - By Amazon Customer

Great earphones, but let down in some sense. While some may find solice in this pair, others are likely to be let down.

The great thing about these earphones is, it's like having speakers next to your ear. The sound quality is impeccable. I have definitely never heard sound as good as these before. Even the most audiophillic of us would find it hard to dispute the quality these things produce.

The downside, however, is that it's like having speakers next to your ear. Anyone within a 15-metre radius is likely to be able to hear whatever your listening to, making these quite impractical for journeying. Also, they are much larger than your bog-standard set of clip-ons, and so if you don't have teacups for ears you are likely to find these uncomfortable. Although I have not tested them, I could easily see the "Dumbo" effect taking place if you were to wear these earphones jogging.

While these could have been a great pair of earphones, they simply are not suited for average use. If you think none of the costs really apply to you, click buy, but otherwise, these will probably be a disappointment to you and I suggest looking elsewhere for your listening ideals.

Simply the best - for under 30 pounds

Jan 8, 2005 - By Mr. S. Pell (Cambridge, England)

i have worked my way through several sets of headphones trying to find the best for my sony hd3, and these are by far the best, without being expensive. They take a little getting used to and are slightly big. The rest is superb, brilliant sound quality, no distortion (long as gd quality music) and the bass is amazing. The koss lifetime guarantee makes this simply the best choice for all portable devices. They are much better than the rubbish headphones that comes with ipods etc.

Disappointed

Jan 27, 2005 - By Chris (England)

I should have taken the reviews more seriously. I was instantly disappointed in how they wore on my ears...uncomfortable and "floopy". What's worse, my son could hear the music from another level of the house...totally useless if you are going to be within 15 metres of other humans. Use on planes and trains is out of the question. Fortunately, I purchased from Amazon, so they are on their way back due to their friendly returns policy...though the shipping cost is mine. But, the reviews did warn me!
