Executive cover

(3 out of 5) by Jaq Draco on Sep 24, 2001 (Oxford, England)
This cover is very stylish. It enhances the look of my 545 quite well. The hotkeys have to be disabled or it switches itself on when you close it. I did have a concern that it does not protect the sides of the Jornada as it is a 'flip-over' design, but neither did the metal lid that came with it. Overall a good looking leather cover, if a little overpriced.

looks good, poor in use!

This leather case is very well made and looks great. However in practice its almost useless. I dont believe velcro is adequate to hold the jornada safely, when you close the lid it turns the machine on and the fit is poor. The jornada is not designed for this sort of case. This is more surprising considering who makes it..HP!

Not a happy camper

(1 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Feb 3, 2001
Looks good in the picture doesn't it. Well it isn't, the case doesn't cover the Jornado properly, and has a terrible method of holding the thing in the case (velcro you stick to the back of the Jornado). When closed (That is if you can get it closed, it turns the Jornado on with the slightest touch of the top of the case ....

NOT A HAPPY BUNNY AT ALL!!!!!!

HP Jornada 540 Executive Leather Case.

(1 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Dec 30, 2000
When I received this case as a Christmas present, I thought it looked really good and stylish. It fits well, is not too bulky, and does not use unnecessary space. Now that I have attached my Jornada, not only will it not do up properly, ( it is a popper style fastening) but when I do manage to do it up, the machine switches on because the popper is immediatly on top of the on/off button. The instruction tell you to disable the hot keys and the screen-on tap, but you can't disable the on/off button. Considering this case is made by Hewlet Packard for the Jornada 540 series, I think they need to redesign it.

Good buy

This product does the job perfectly. It is true that you can disable the hot keys without any difficulty and it is robust enough to hold your Jornada safe in position when you are on the move. Probably not great value for money, but a nice accessory to have.
