First unit had a defective component. Replacement was arranged promptly. Second unit works perfect, couldn't be happier. Great for the price. Did not get 5 stars due to the lenght of the USB cable: only 17" It will not reach the USB port at the back of a desktop computer.

Performed as Expected

Doing a little housecleaning recently, I ran across several 3.5" floppy drives containing my writing from years ago. Of course, modern computers have no 3.5" floppy drive. I felt stymied. Then I searched Amazon and found this little drive at a reasonable price with relatively good reviews. The floppy drive performed exactly as I hoped it would. Simple; no setup needed; just plug and play. A good value!

Floppy Drive sovled a problem

At work in a middle school music room is a keyboard that is old. It takes a floppy to transport recorded music. Computers rarely have floppy drives any more. To download music from a computer to use on the keyboard the SYBA USB Floppy Disk Drive solves this problem.
