This one was a shot in the dark for me for a small TV in the laundry room. Worked right out of the box. First class quality, sturdy, easy to use, great picture. Would recommend buy it to a friend. At this price you can not go wrong. PaulCoby TFTV1212 12-Inch Widescreen LCD Digital TV/Monitor
Perfect kitchen TV

Got this for my kitchen to replace my old boxy 13". Wow, what a difference a flat screen makes! It looks so cute on my breakfast table, and the quality is just fine. The picture is terrific and when the sound is turned up to the low 30's level, it is adequate. It's not concert quality sound, probably not for your DVD of La Boheme, but for the news during dinner or a talk show while cooking, it's perfect.
Great mini-monitor

I'm using this as a monitor for a media server. I wanted a computer monitor I could use on rare occasions that wouldn't be too big. This fits the bill great. I haven't used the TV tuner, but the picture is fine. This is really quite a capable unit for the size/price.
The remote is a bit finicky about where it's pointed, but not bad.

The Perfect Television for my Kitchen

(4 out of 5) by A Satisfied Customer on Feb

I wanted a small television for my kitchen that would not take up a lot of space. This television is currently on my kitchen counter, but we will eventually mount it on the wall. The television was affordable (less than $100.00) and does exactly what I need it to do. I did not want to spend a lot of money and wasn't too concerned about having a more high end television, so I went with the Colby because I have had good experiences with their portable MP3 players. If you are hooking this television up to cable, you will do just fine. That was not the case with me, so after I turned the set on and could not get a picture, I telephoned their technical support line. I was informed that I would have to purchased an amplified t.v. antenna in order to pick up signals.
My first thought was to return the television, however because I fell in love with the size and how cute it looked on my kitchen counter, I decided to purchased an amplified t.v. antenna from Radio Shack. The one I purchased costed me about $35.00. I live about 15 miles from New York City, so I was able to pick up quite a few stations in what appears to be HD. The picture is now crystal clear. I am now very happy with my purchase.
