What a great camera for busy families! I have been terrible about using a video camera to record my boys growing up, because I had to stand back and watch the action. With this product, I can participate AND record the memories. It is hands free, and easy to use. I love it! I have used it at home, on vacation, at swim lessons, and at t-ball. Essential for families on the go!

I have taken some great footage of the kids in the car (PURE comedy!), grabbed some great fishing video (see I DID have one that got away!) took it golfing, more comedy, but did get the birdie putt by my best friend! Easy to use, easy to download and I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone looking to "tell the story!"

This compact camcorder camera can be worn and that was the selling point for me. It is great for wearing while attending a lecture or concert, cooking, taking notes or like others say about recording the kids and grandkids. It is a small camcorder, easy to charge, easy to use and most important, easy to learn and upload. I have the car mounted accessory and it is great if I want to film myself or the kids in the car. If I was twenty years younger, I would be using this as a travel diary, food critic, fresh market investigator(on my travels), bike rides and in business meetings. Yes, if I needed or wanted to spy on someone, it would be perfect-spy stories could be rewritten with this. I don't but I could see this selling in those spy stores for it's small size, ease of use, etc. Think of it as a personal nanny cam, a sports referee, an adventure aide, a grandparent's best friend and a kitchen recorder. Also, waterproof which is perfect here in Seattle and when you travel. What a way to video your life. I might buy one for each of my kids.

The vievu camera, is a nifty little device, great to record anything on the fly.
I use mine to record some of my demonstrations (i'm an Instructor), it helps me keep accurate record.

Awesome for recording on the fly, and super easy to transfer the video to a computer.

I purchased the Vievu PVR-LE model whiche retails for about $699. I got it for only $150 on ebay from someone who was just tring to get rid of it. The unit was fully functional when it arrived and looked like new. The unit itself looks very durabled and very easy to operate.

The negatives are :
1) the video is very grainy indoors (have not tried outdoors yet)
2) there's an annoying static sound with the audio
3) you need to download a software application to transfer videos from the unit to computer. The software was not very intuitive with poor instructions on their website. I was hoping the unit would just show up as a drive on the computer when plugged in via usb.

Overall I'm not pleased and thank God I didn't have to pay $700 for this. I don't see how people are rating this 4 stars. Perhaps they work for the company. OVERRATED!
