OEM BATTERY

(5 out of 5) by gwb1943 on Sep 12, 2009 (Ocean Springs, MS)
This is an OEM battery, not a knockoff, and thus will work with any camera that was originally equipped with it. This battery is the same battery that you will have to pay at least 1/3 more for at the camera manufacturer's website. Buy it here and get the same battery for less money. Can't be beat. As a side note, Panasonic has an updated program for their cameras that can detect if a non-panasonic battery is being used in their cameras and will shut the camera down. I would imagine that all cameras that Panasonic now ships out will have some type of this programming. Use a knock-off if you want to try but don't be surprised if it doesn't work.

be sure to double check! search resutls misleading

(1 out of 5) by Matti's Mom on Sep 2, 2009 (Atlanta, GA)
I searched on the model number for the battery for my Panasonic DMC-Z3 camera; finding a battery of similar shape and model number I went ahead and ordered it. Much to my surprise on recent I realize that the model number is different from that of my camera. Obviously I was in a rush and did not check the model numbers. However, redoing the search today I find that the same problem comes up - when searching for a specific model number on Amazon, the results include many things with similar but not the same model numbers. (though that is helpful in some situations, it was not helpful here!)
The moral of the story: Double check the model number before buying!

Working as expected on my TS1

(5 out of 5) by Alex Heyer on Oct 2, 2009 (Little Rock, USA)
Same performance as the original one.
You need at least one if you are used to take a lot of picture.
May be I will take one more.
