A exellent headlamp

It has a terrific low-low and a really bright high.This headlamp is designed for lots of flood, don't expect alot of throw this is not intended for that It is incredibly light weight and well balanced, it runs off of 1 AA battery and the runtimes are incredible.You can use anything from regular alkaline to rechargeables. I can't say enough about the amount of light you get and runtime from 1xAA and how comfortable and light weight it is. This is a must buy headlamp,HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

How did I live without this light?!
(5 out of 5) by Miles on Apr 15, 2009I was looking for a powerful, yet compact light for working on my crafts and projects around the house, traveling, camping, and reading. It is perfect for all of these uses and more! It takes only one AA battery, which is a wonderful feature. I love using it for hiking, as well, because it puts out just the right amount of light to see where I am going, but not too much. This is a great little tool to have by your side. Highly recommended!

Versatile, TINY, Flashlight and Headlamp
(5 out of 5) by River on Apr 15, 2009 (Seattle, WA United States)I cannot say enough good things about the H501 headlamp! I love it. I keep the light in my travel bag, and use it on airplanes, in hotels, and for working on small electronics.
At the medium level, there is plenty of light for hiking at night. At the highest level, it is very bright. The low level is perfect for reading in a tent or in bed.
The best thing about the H501 is that it uses a single AA battery. This is the most common and easy to find battery in the world, so I'm never concerned about over-using the light.
The on/off/light level button is perfectly located, and a big improvement over the H50 which is twist-on/off.

Most amazing flashlight
(5 out of 5) by KORAL ILGUN on May 17, 2009 (Northern California)This is by far my favorite flashlight. It's performance is incredible in comparison to its size. Single AA battery is a great advantage and seems to last a long time. It's an excellent reading light in lowest beam level. Note that this is a wide-angle light. If you are looking for a more focused flashlight, this won't do the job. But for a wide-angle, it is incredible. The highest light level is super bright. The mounting options are also great with the head band and belt clip. The construction is also of great quality. Its single-switch has great tactile feedback and accuracy. Highly recommended.
