The sound quailty is a little crackly, I had to mess with my EQ settings to be able to get it to come out somewhat clear, but you can't really expect much when it comes to a radio transmitter.
This one is slim, and the ability to choose any station is great. I'm satisfied.

Review of Satechi Utimate iPhone 3gs FM Transmitter

I've tried several FM transmitters the last two years and have been very disappointed in them until now. The Satechi sounds as good as a strong FM station, plenty of mid-range dynamics, high-end, and clear bass to make this transmitter very listenable.
I also like the size, ability to save 4 preset channels, and battery charger option. It is half the price or less than some of the FM transmitters I've tried. Recommended.

Not Impressed

We have used both Monster and Belkin products in the past with our ipods, but can't seem to find the right unit for use with the iphone. Unfortunately, this would not stay on a station for more than a few seconds. Even when the same station was set on all four memory settings, it still scrolled through all of them resulting in a break up of the music and poor sound quality. We also bought a product by the same brand that has bluetooth capability and it seems to work much better. It also had free shipping though Amazon. This will go back immediately. Unfortunately this one requires shipping charges both ways.
Great Transmitter for Iphone/Ipod

Product works well. It's easy to use and navigate. Allows you to save preset stations which is very helpful. Works on both Ipod and Iphone 3GS which was key in what I was looking for (as charger and FM transmitter). I haven't tested the product yet outside of the Los Angeles area, but sound quality has overall been decent once I've found a station. Comparing prior products I've used (Transmitters were for Ipod only though), the Monster cable had slightly better connection sound quality compared to Satechi, but the Satechi is much better than the Griffin one I tried. Would definitely recommend this product for those looking for a FM transmitter/charger with Iphone and Ipod capabilities.
