Performance at least equal to rabbit ears - but a LOT better looking

(4 out of 5) by JM in Jacksonville on Aug 25, 2009 (Jacksonville, FL USA)
This little antenna will not work miracles, but it will at least equal, if not outperform, rabbit ears for HDTV reception. I installed mine a couple of days ago - on my main LCD flat panel with a digital tuner (use on-air broadcasts as a backup to cable - there are also 1 or 2 local broadcast channels that Comcast does not carry). I followed the advice of several earlier reviewers and tested several locations/configurations for the antenna to get the best reception. Curiously, the best location ended up being propped up against the wall on the floor, near the baseboard, behind the subwoofer which is behind the TV cabinet! Good news: no more pixelation on digital channels that I used to get with the rabbit ears - no more needing to get up and adjust the rabbit ears to improve signal strength. Once this antenna tunes the channel it appears to be locked in. It's also much easier to hide this antenna, or, if it can't be hidden, it's a lot better looking than the alternative. Would have given it 5 stars if it had miraculously pulled in other stations on the first try. I'm ordering another one for another non-cable-connected TV in the house.

Not bad for money, but not enough

(3 out of 5) by C. Guernsey on Aug 9, 2009 (Glendale, CA)
I live in Glendale, CA and have a good sized mountain between myself and the transmitters on Mt. Wilson. I bought this cheap omni antenna since I wasn't sure any indoors antenna would work for me. This unit was able to pull in most of the key channels in our local market, but it is very sensitive to location and orientation. I had hoped the omni would be more forgiving, but I suspect the problem is multipath from the areas mountains, trees, etc. The problem is that a directional antenna willl reject multopath but demands to be pointed the right way - a puzzle at the moment.

(5 out of 5) by D. Alvarenga on Jun 24, 2009 (New York.)

Well, first of all, I want to say that my reception is not too good because, I do have a MTA railroad however, I placed the anthena on the top part of my window and the image looks pretty good although, I can not get any additional channels, I have no complaing it works good with my convertible Tivax television box. Shipping was fast too.

It Just Works !

(5 out of 5) by TechDiva on Sep 3, 2009 (Brookfield WI)
I purchased this RCA antenna not really thinking it could be very good for such a small price and odd form factor - however I was pleasantly surprised. It is thin and light and has one coax cable that you connect to your digital ready TV and in minutes you are done. A quick rescan for new channels and I found an additional 15 channels and the reception is outstanding. I highly recommend this antenna.

Great product for good price

It was a good buying decision. I had to play with the positioning a bit, and I ended up hanging it on the wall behind the television. Once I established a signal it has been good since. If you aren't getting all of the channels you think you should when you do your initial scan, move it around and keep re-scanning until you find a good spot.
