I use my USB drive on my car ring so I don't go home with out it. I've been though 3 drive this year before I discovered this one.
Slow, slow, slow.
I can't use a flash drive that takes all afternoon to copy a folder. I don't get it.
8 GB Flash drive shaped like a key
The drive works great!
I wish it was the size of a normal key.
It's a bit too large for me to keep it on my key chain.

Best piece of field gear I've owned
I'm a field services technician for a small computer repair shop. I've seen many damaged or broken portable drives in my line of work. The itsaKey's all metal housing is durable enough to stand up to the strongest wear and tear and the ability to put it on my keychain means I'll never leave a client's house without it. Best equipment investment I've made all year.
Pretty Good... But a Little Pricey for What You Get
I purchased this LaCie Itsakey flash drive about a month ago, and typically use it to transfer files between my office and home computers. While I like the humongous size (8 GBs), I initially had a little trouble plugging it into both my home MacBook Pro and my office Dell laptop, and was concerned that the force required to plug it in might damage the connecting end. Over time it seems to be slipping into the USB ports more easily, but it took me some time to figure out what side was up when I plugged it in. I also regret that this device has no blinking light to indicate that it has been plugged in correctly, or that it has been properly disconnected from the computer. Finally, I was disappointed that the end of the LaCie Itsakey doesn't have any kind of removable cover to protect it in transit or prevent dirt from getting into the end. For $35, you'd think LaCie would add a flashing light and a protective cover or sleeve. Fortunately, the metal parts seem to be very durable, and the unit continues to operate well without any protection for the exposed end. Time to transfer files seems blazingly fast, especially on my MacBook Pro. While it's pretty cute looking, I'm not sure it's worth the price, given the limitations listed above.
