Good - but too big

(4 out of 5) by Demand Curve on Aug 27, 2009 (LA, CA United States)
If you like this idea, then check out the other key by Lacie. It is a smaller design and works more as an actual key for the key ring. This one is just too big. The triangular part is really a pain ....

For me, I am a guy, it is just too big for keys in the pocket. I gave it to my wife, who likes it - but that is because her keys are stored in her purse ...

No more lost USB key

(5 out of 5) by Daniel Worth on Aug 10, 2009 (Denver, CO)
I bought this usb key because I lost my previouse one witch has also been through the wash several times. With this one it stays on my key chain witch helps me keep track of it. It's larger than some however is about the size of a standard car key. It's metal case makes it pretty durable. However, there are some cons. First the printing on the key is easily scratched off witch leaves it looking more worn than it actually is. Second is if you leave the usb key along with the rest of your keys plugged in at work and car pool to work, there is a possibility that you will be left without keys for a weekend. If only there was technology to fix my flaky memory.

itsalifesaver!

(5 out of 5) by A. Galano on Jun 26, 2009 (california)
this is a wonderful product! i have pc's at work and at home but my personal computer is a mac. i love the seamless transition of files from pc to mac using this! it's automatically recognized by both platforms without having to upload any sort of special program on either pc or mac! my husband's pc was able to download files that my mac could not and so after downloading onto HIS computer, i was able to plug this in and upload those files into the key and then take the key and plug it right into my mac and download the files from the key. i transfer large movie files, music files and pictures and haven't had issues with running out of space on this 8gb key. it also transfers quite rapidly both ways! i love it. AND it works just like my ipod 1st gen shuffle when i plug it into my work pc. i can play the mp3 files straight from the key when i plug it into the usb port. wonderful. just plain wonderful. not to mention it's pretty durable, i definitely carry it around on my keychain. it's the perfect solution to transferring files from a pc to a mac fast and easy.

Easy interface

(5 out of 5) by Rudi Franke on Jun 14, 2009
I've been looking for an easy way to interface my laptop to my desktop and this is it. I shoot studio photographs tethered (camera is connected to laptop). Then I'd rather do my Photoshop work on my desktop, so I've got to transfer my digital files and this device from LaCie has simplified things for me. I drag and drop my photos folder from the laptop to the LACIE FLASH DRIVE, move the LACIE FLASH DRIVE from my laptop (in the studio) to my desktop in my computer room and drag and drop all to my work into my hard drive and I'm ready to start editing. The huge capacity of this LACIE FLASH DRIVE has been adequate for my needs and I'm often shooting RAW files (very large). I'm glad LaCie came up with this idea and I'm glad I bought it.

Cool + Useful!!

(5 out of 5) by Electronaut on Jun 9, 2009 (Hermosillo, MX)
Im a fan of the non conventional USB flash drives so I fell in love of these one in the moment i see it.
Yes, its VERY cute and it feels very good at touch, pretty solid. I feel the transfer speed is average... maybe a little bit fast than others. I toght it was going to be smaller but it's kind of large than the average.
Awesome desing, it doesnt come with a cap (that would be awful) so be cafeful with it.
Finally, it might be a "Key" but i would take care of this baby... that means that i will definitely not put it on my keyring!
