Seller Great, Camera Useless

(3 out of 5) by Friends Fab Fan on Oct 5, 2009
The camera arrived quickly and in good shape. I downloaded the software with ease. I programmed the camera to shoot items in my photo tent and hooked it up to my tripod. The pictures were horrid. I re-programmed it every which way and could never get a decent shot. Maybe only good for amateur sight-seeing photos.

canon

(5 out of 5) by Jack Ollodort on Nov 7, 2009 (la,ca)
This little canon is great. I replaced my Nikon camera because it was not downloading pics.
I went from 5 megapixels to 10 and the difference is noticeable. I love the color too.
Great camera!

so disappointed

(2 out of 5) by darby mom on Sep 20, 2009 (chicago,il)
I had this camera for 3 weeks. I thought everything was fine until I went to use it and the lcd viewer was black. I tried to take a picture. The flash went off and it sounded like everything was fine. The display was black. Tried to transfer the pictures on the memory card to my laptop. The picture I attempted to take transferred as a black square. The pdf manual was no help. Maybe this is a lemon, but I'm so disgusted and desperate for a functional camera that I went back and bought the 1100is without trying to contact canon about this problem - no time to deal with phone calls. Will be returning this as soon as the new one arrives.

High-quality, easy to use

We spent a little more than usual on this digital camera, and it's been well worth it. It takes fantastic photos and is very easy to use. I would recommend it to friends.

More bells and whistles then I'll ever need

My daughter dropped and broke my much loved Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX30A. Heartbroken but unwilling to spend $350 at this time to replace it I spent days comparing reviews, shopping in stores and decided this would be a nice camera.
The orange color is great! Don't know why but I love this color on a camera. The size is even a little bit smaller then the Lumix, so another plus. I have taken and downloaded quite a few pictures but have not had any printed yet.
Maybe if I took the time to really go through the directions it wouldn't seem so complicated, but I really just want to pick up and shoot. If I touch the wrong button this camera has way too many menus that will take over. Then just trying to get it back to a simple mode takes time. I will figure it out, I just don't want to have to. I wish they would make a camera with great reviews that you could LOCK into a simple picture mode.
