I love the case the HDD i installed was running hot in the laptop i had

so the mesh design is great to have on this one.

No issue everything is working great.

(Note): the screws (4) are a little small but the tech people will have a screw driver that will fit I did

Highly recommended, Easy to use

(5 out of 5) by Mehul B. Naik on Sep 8, 2009 (San Jose, CA USA)
After some research, bought this item. Was looking for a easy to use small enclosure, inexpensive,no fan for portability and USB powered use. Item met all my needs. Have two SATA hard drives, and very easy to switch. Will most l ikely buy another enclosure.

2.5" Enclosure

Great little enclosure. Perfect for those 80-100 GB drives you don't know what to do with.

Great Product !

(4 out of 5) by Incog Nito on Nov 30, 2009 (OH)
This product is great. It serves its purpose well as an external drive for my desktop. I almost never remove it though so I cannot say how durable it is, however, if you are looking for an enclosure that you plan on transporting I would suggest either investing in a durable hard case or a different enclosure. This does not look like it would stand up to much abuse. Also, I would suggest, as others have, in investing in a set of miniature screwdrivers for the assembly of this product. Other than these minor concerns, I have had no problems with this product, with the proper tools (mini Philips-head screwdriver) installation is a snap and the product does a great job of keeping my drive cool so heat is never a concern. I plan on buying at least one more of these in the near future.

Doesn't support 640Gb HDD

(4 out of 5) by Yurij Seluchenko on Nov 30, 2009 (Chicago, IL)
Most possibly outdated chipset is used in this enclosure as it doesn't support 640Gb HDD :( Tried same HDD with iOmega enclosure - all is fine. But this one is meant probably for 320 Gb HDD only. Besides, the unit is thicker than 0.8", though is quite compact. be careful though, the mesh panels are very easy to dent in!!!
