a great universal remote
Finally, a universal remote that combines all of the features I wanted into one nice, neat package. The programming was easy through the code entry for my new Sharp LCD TV as well as my other home theater devices. I love the built in find feature which works just like your cordless phone. With 3 kids, I can never find my other remotes. I also loved the charging stand and rechargeable batteries. The bright blue backlit display is a great feature.
Take a few minutes to use the learning feature to program the remote to work just like your original remote controls

So many features at a great price!
One day, I looked at my coffee table and saw a mess of remotes. The TV, the DVD-player, the receiver and the cable box all had their own remotes, and it was time to consolidate. So, I went to Amazon and started looking. After skipping past remotes from Logitech that cost well over $100, I stumbled upon this. It offered so much as well as a cool touch-screen interface, and all at a great prices. I had to get it (so I did).
This remote is easy to program, made even easier by the USB interface. It's comfortable in the hand and has a convenient charging dock. The screen is easy to read and is sensitive to the tap. I love it.
Let's be honest; when we sit in front of the TV, we're not looking for a challenge. We just want to sit down, press a button, and be entertained. This makes that happen, and at a great price.

Simplicity. Finally.
With kids, you have to expect the remote to disappear from time to time. Not long ago, there was a possibility that three of these guys could go MIA. But today, it's only one, and it disappears less, because it's one less thing to keep track of. Plus it's super easy to use. The screen is easy on the eyes as well. Another thing to make life just a little bit easier.
Not ready for prime time
The La-z Boy LZ6200 remote is a good idea that falls short in the execution. The much-touted software is still in Beta, and the database of devices is a joke. I got this at a very good sale price, but the list price is in the range of some of the lower-end (and much superior) Harmony remotes from Logitech. If your MSRP is as high as the big boys', your features and performance had better match, and in this case they don't. I returned the remote and bought a Harmony 520 on sale from another vendor. Cost me about $10 more, but at least it has the codes for all my devices (including my new Insignia Blu Ray player) and has superb software that makes it easy to cusotmize. (It also stores all my settings on the Logitech web site, while the La-Z Boy has no ability to store your settings at all. If my Harmony dies and I get a replacement I can plug in the USB cable and download all my settings - including tweaks - into the new unit.)
Absolutely Garbage
Complete waste of money!!!
If you want a remote that changes your channel and volume this is great, but if you actually want it to control even the simplest functions of any post 1973 electronics look elsewhere.
It looks like the screen changes according to the device but it is a myth my friends, you get to scroll through three pages of the same for each device. example: it lights up the ffwd/rwnd buttons when I select audio though my audio device has nothing to fast-forward/re-wind.
Will almost definitely need to be programmed online, even then you are very limited and what you can find may not work - Only 4 of 7 of my devices worked, the rest I'm going to have to use the learning function so if you buy this make sure you still have your old remote.
Bottom line: Don't buy! If it wasn't a gift from my wife it would go back, however, This being the case...I must play happy...For a while...
