easy to use, easy to install.
BIG product, but also big results.
make sure you have plenty of desk space with room both in front and behind this behemoth.

Very good experience

(4 out of 5) by Paul F. Austin on Nov 1, 2009 (Palm Bay, Florida United States)
I received the Pro9000MkII for my birthday in September. I installed it in a non-standard configuration, located on my network through a USB to Ethernet Hub so that I could put the printer in my network closet. The printer is accessible to three computers using WinXP Pro and Vista.

Installation went very smoothly with the exception of getting the first test print. I'm a blockhead and fed the paper in "landscape" orientation. The printer just spun its wheels and the installation directions weren't very helpful. Once I found out that the paper needed to be fed in "portrait" style, things began to look up.

Using quality photo paper, I got stunning results and was quite pleased with the output. The printer is fast and quiet. I got a scare when a print came out looking very strange, kind of "posterized". What happened was that I fed the paper in with the wrong side up. The particular paper I used had a matt side and a glossy back. The ink wouldn't adhere to the glossy back. I haven't tried "glossy" paper yet. A minor kvetch, the printer sometimes will not "pick up" the paper in the feed tray and will spin its wheels. I have to remove and reseat the paper then all is well.

Love the printer

(5 out of 5) by David Philpott on Oct 30, 2009
The Canon Pixma Pro 9000 Mk II is a very nice printer. It is easy to set up and a breeze to use with Canon's Easy-PhotoPrint EX. The ink cartridges are small and may run out fairly quick. But the color of the prints is amazing. The printer is not for someone with not much desk space. It is a large printer.

Excellent Quality - Minimal Effort

(5 out of 5) by J. Griffin on Oct 9, 2009 (Edmond, OK)
Setup was very easy. The printer is LARGE, so make sure you have space! The print quality is excellent. Much better than my old $199 Epson photo printer (of course it should be though). Very easy to use, and it came with Photoshop Elements for easy photo manipulation and color correction.
