Great mp3 player for the gym
I purchased the Coby mp3 player for the gym, because I like to listen to the radio in the morning. This player perfectly fits the bill. Radio reception is very good and it was easy to program in stations - in fact, automatic. It also has 4 megs to hold plenty of music or whatever else you may want to load in. The only down side is that it would not load off of my itunes, so I had to use another platform to load music.

Nice for the Price
This Coby player is a great alternative to an iPod. The price is very reasonable, it holds a lot of music and the sound quality is very good - at least with all the music we've purchased. The unit is very attractive and it's about the same size as an iPod. It comes with reasonably nice earbuds and a USB cable.
However, the Coby software stinks. It is not user friendly and requires a lot of effort. If you have the MP3 files on your PC, it is much easier just to copy them over with file explorer. If you are loading the music from a CD, you will need to enter the track, song title, band, etc for every song.
The battery life usually lasts a little longer than the 8 hours that are spec'd.
I'm not much for watching videos on a 1" display, but the kids tested that out for me and claim the quality there is reasonable.
The FM radio works well too. The reception is not as good as the radio in my car, but it gets all the local stations without any issues.
So, there are no games, the controls are not fancy, and the software sucks but this little unit does what it claims: It plays musics and does that well. Price wise, you get a lot of bang for your buck.

Ipod eyeschmod.....
For about $50.00 shipped, this 4G Unit looks terrific, has stellar Video Qualities, and holds enuff music to make any one happy.
The only complaint would be "Navigation". Trying to get around from Music, To Video, Etc., and even turning the unit off and on, takes some trial and error.
BUT, for the Price?? well worth it

Just an no frilles MP3 Player
Is decent MP3 player for the price. There are not very many play options which would allow you to view other selections while listening to your current song. Some of the music sounds distored verses the sound from the ripped CD. The actual software runs slower than comparible MP3 plyers. The updating is also slow.

not bad player for the price!!!
The player is OK for the price, not bad at all but the earphone is terrible (quality of sounds is bad using coby earphone) and only left side is working so you need to use a good quality earphone to enhance the quality of sounds.
