(3 out of 5) by John Schulte on Aug 21, 2009Performance is as expected. However controls are difficult and the manual is not very helpful. Example: turning power on too quickly puts the radio in "sleep" mode. To turn sleep mode "off" the station-tuning dial must be turned to display "On".

Two interesting meters, afforded by the DSP chip - signal strength and signal to noise ratio. Very fast reacting meters provide outstanding information, regarding antenna settings and radio placement.
Well worth the money.

Radio Review

Shortwave quit working in first 48 hours!

HOWEVER, on mine that I just received from Amazon, the SW worked the first day but now the Shortwave Band has just STOPPED working! Just static! For no apparent reason whatsoever!!!
I got a Return Authorization from Amazon and have to return it tomorrow.
I'll tell you, they sure don't make things like they used to....come on Grundig...really!
