I had to take it back to the the Apple store nearby and they had to change out the key board. That the reason for the four stars and not five....

The main thing that I love is I can surf the web and download apps without worrying about catching a virus! Also everything seems to work fine with this machine. With PC it seems like I always had problems or little error windows popping up. I've only had it for a couple of months, but it's been totally carefree. It's so worth the price.

Everything I heard was true. This is a fantastic machine and very powerful, especially for the price. The software selection is excellent and, thanks to open source stuff, mostly free. I've also found a lot of "Mac-only" stuff from smaller developers which has really helped me with productivity.
If you use an iPhone or iPod, this is the machine it was made to work with. Integration is seamless.
For under $1000, this is a great system. It took me only about 30 minutes to get it up and running, and that includes the time it took to get it out of the box. You turn it on and it asks you a few questions. The rest of the things it needs to know, like your online connection, are taken care of automatically. It really is amazing.
