Impressive Unit with annoying problem

(4 out of 5) by I. Altwaijri on Oct 29, 2009
Very nice unit good sound nice interface hard in the start but when you spend just 10 mins you going to realize the main things . but I have a big problem with using the Bluetooth in my car and the DvD . every time I want to use my Bluetooth and dial the numbers from the screen or watch a DvD /VCD the annoying Warring appear to me and then the only thing you can get from the DvD is the sound and for the hand free for your cell phone ( iphone 3gs ) is the yes and No icon . I tried many time to avoid this Warring but not working at all and I tried to copy my cell phone name list but its failed every time.

I WANT TO HAVE FULL CLARIFICATION ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND HOW I CAN AVOID IT AND I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO HEAR THAT BECAUSE MY FRIENDS ARE PLANING TO BUY IT . . I know its for my security but its not fair that I can't use my cell phone option in my unit. I purchased this item to feel comfortable while driving but this problem is really annoying me and make me feel sad and pissing me off because I am not living in US to ask the seller aid And the big problem is the local agent for pioneer can't install this unit this is big fail .

Generally nothing beat pioneer in sound quality , picture of the video and technology for car audio . I recommend for this unit only if you know how to avoid my current problem but for rest this baby is rock .

Excellent Value, Great Sound, Easy Install - Recommend

(4 out of 5) by Eric Cartman on Oct 27, 2009
At slightly over 400, the price is right. Could not find anything comparable in this range. Was a little apprehensive about getting B-stock or refurb, so I called the vendor and was assured it was new. I arrived a few days later, nicely packaged in a flawless box, clearly new, with an Aug 2009 manufacturer date. Good stuff. Had already ordered the bypass thru eBBay, the processor variety, no switches/relays/timers - nice, turnkey, works great, reasonable price. Installed into '05 F150 with standard issue double-din install kit - no issues, easy fit, wiring straight-forward.

Loves:
- the look, very sexy.
- the sound, excellent balance, sufficiently adjustable, surprising cleaner than the Eclipse unit it replaced.
- the video, good off axis, bright screen. Unless you have direct sunlight obscuring it - it looks fabulous.

Irritations:
- its a 7" screen - why the flock does the radio only display 5 of the 6 presets?
- the audio seems off a half second from the video when playing iPod Touch video.
- the 6" tall user and install manuals must be written in a 4 font. Would it have killed them to include a manual that was more readable?
- iPod navigation. If I'm listening to Van Halen and want to search for the Stones - it doesn't timeout or allow you to easily get back to the artist you're listening to. Hey Pioneer - how about a "Now Playing" option that gets you back to where you started?

The good significantly outweighs the bad and I will always have a list of stuff I would do differently if I had been in charge. With any device. Bottom line is this is a great value, loaded with interface options, front/rear/sub outs, audio/video inputs, great sound and video for an incredibly reasonable price. Highly recommend. 4 out of 5 stars because unless it is perfect, which nothing rarely is, it gets 4.

Outstanding Upgrade

(5 out of 5) by John J. Smiertelny on Oct 12, 2009
I own a 2004 Ford F-150 Truck with all the bells and whistles. The only thing it didn't come with is a state of the art stereo system. The Pioneer AVH-P41100DVD has met all those needs. This upgrade has truly made my truck state of the art. From the music system to the in-car blue tooth, to the iPod connection, and DVD it has met it all my needs and expectations. I won't get into the sound quality because it is outstanding. I'm just impressed with all of the functions and their capabilities at a reasonable price!
