great cable, good quality. nice features for the price

(5 out of 5) by M. Morim on May 29, 2009
This cable really surprised me.
For the prices it is being sold for, I assumed it was one of those lower end cables which lack many of the convenience features.
I say convenience because it's really hard to make a bad quality fiber optic cable because of the way the data is transferred.
So first of all you can rest assured that data transfer with this cable is going to be flawless.
Now, to the other features that make this cable easy to use, and will help it last longer:
1. Clips in - some cables do not "clip" in to their ports, so you can't be sure if they are properly inserted, any might fall out of place. Not this one!
2. Length. 8ft. niceeeeee! Usually I need to plan the location of my components because long cables are pretty rare. I like this one.
3. Sturdy cable, the outer shell protects the fiber inside.
Bottom line, I stopped buying monster "THX certified" stuff a long time ago, and I am not going back.
Buy it, you'll enjoy it.

Good optical cable

(4 out of 5) by Kaio on May 2, 2009 (Santa Monica, CA)
Cables to Go makes great cables at a reasonable price. This optical cable delivers as expected and the shielding isn't overly stiff like some others so weaving it through the swarm of cables behind my entertainment system was a snap. No snags, pliable enough to bend and curve as needed with no added stress on the input connectors. Don't be fooled by ridiculously overpriced cables or scammed by dirt cheap inferior ones. This is a solid product at a good price.

Works Just Like it's Supposed to

I really don't know how to review a cable, other than to say I hooked it up and it worked just like it's supposed to, so five stars.

Works perfectly!

(5 out of 5) by Ryan on Jul 20, 2009 (Boston, MA)
This is a great cable for a great price. At first, I was convinced that it didn't fit into either my TV or my receiver. I would put it in, push, and it would fall right out. Seeing as how this was my first optical audio cable, I googled around and found out that I stupidly left the plastic cap on the end. So if you get this and it isn't fitting, just remember that you need to pull off the little protective tip from each end of the cable, and it'll slide in and lock in perfectly!

It works!

(5 out of 5) by Mary Santos on May 21, 2009 (Houston, Texas)
Hard to get excited about the performance of an optical digital audio cable, but when it is so inexpensive on Amazon and gives the same or better quality of the $$$$ ones at the brick & mortar stores, it is something to rave about.

I also like that it is 8ft! Someone actually thought about the fact that I might not have all my components on the same shelf or in the same unit. Bravo for thinking of people with entertainment center piers that need long cables.
