(5 out of 5) by M. Burris on Oct 24, 2009This monitor replaces my old 19inch lcd display. The old display still works great, but I wanted something that works both with my Pc and my Xbox 360. The pc uses the DVI connection and the xbox uses the hdmi. The nice thing about this setup is that the sound out stereo connection switches with the changing the of the vidio source. The monitor also detects which connection is active. To switch to my xbox, I put my pc in sleep mode - the monitor also goes into it's sleep mode. I then turn on the xbox and the monitor automaticly switches to the hdmi input and the sound also tranfers. The switching can also be done thru the monitor's menu.
The only bad thing is the speakers really don't sound very good, I'm currently using my old Stereo speakers.

Great for the price, but beware if using VGA

My computer only has VGA, and there is significant static in dark colors. The good news is that it works perfectly when connected with DVI instead and I'm going to be getting a new computer soon that has DVI, so I'm not worried about it.
I tested the monitor on my wife's computer with DVI and it was sharp and clean, no static, so like I said, if you're computer has DVI connection, then this monitor is great for the price!
Although, don't use it's speakers, they suck! They're really quiet.

One GREAT monitor for the price

I use Excel spreadsheets and I was concerned about a previous review saying the text is not clear. Do not worry about that, as the text is as crisp as it could be. Colors are bright and brilliant.. I don't use the speakers so I cannot comment about there sound.
The stand is perfect for this monitor as another reviewer did not like it.
Over all a fantastic monitor for the price of 2 Ben Franklin's and FREE shipping to boot.
