just got this monitor from newegg, amazon was out and the amazon market vendors all wanted to charge for shipping. physically, this is a very stylish monitor with a shiny black frame, but the screen IS NOT SHIINY, so no refection issues here.
out of the box the adjustments were way off, way to bright with too little contrast but i went through the mac's monitor calibration program within minutes things are looking very good. no dead pixels, plenty bright and sharp screen, nice colors. monitor seems bigger than it is due to its ultra wide proportions. in my opinion, just as good as a 24 inch, but for a lot less money. hey, you just cant beat a samsung monitor like this for around 200 bucks. only caveat, no heigh adjustment.

Really a nice monitor!
I purchased two of these monitors and have them side by side on my new Windows 7 computer. They are awesome! Perfect picture, clear and bright. I was afraid that having two side by side that one might be different, but they are exactly the same in clarity. I can bring up any window on either screen or have many windows open at the same time on both monitors. I was going to purchase a 28" or 30" monitor, but decided on the two monitor setup and am very glad I did, two is much better than one! You do have to have a video card that supports two monitors though, but if you have that, this is the way to go! Sure you can't adjust the height, but it seems good the way it is. If you need more height, then just set them on something, easy fix! I'm very happy with them plus they have a three year guarantee! You just can't go wrong.

Buzzing Sound when brightness not at max of 100
Bought from local store. Only problem is a very annoying buzzing sound when turned on and found out it only buzzes when the brightness is < 99. When you adjust the brightness to 100 the buzzing sounds goes away but at 100 the screen is blindly bright. It gets very annoying when you are trying to read an article online with that bzzzzzzzz sound in the background!!
I returned it and exchanged for another one, still same problem. I will be finding another monitor. FYI, I also have a Samsung 2494HM and no buzzing sound at all (was trying to get another monitor for a dual monitor setup)
Pros:
Styling
Cons:
Buzzing sound when brightness not at the max of 100, returned product right away.

Excellent monitors for those needing more pixel real estate
I bought two of these monitors to replace aging Scepter 20" widescreens. Most of the monitors available today only offer 1080 pixels vertically. I wanted more pixel real estate, having three 1600 x 1200 Dell monitors on my Work PC. The extra resolution on these Samsung monitors were perfect for my home Dell Studio XPS with Radeon 4800 graphics card. With DVI connections, the displays are crisp, and the colors bright and clear.
The lack of vertical adjustment on the stands is not a problem to my set up, and the blue power LEDs are not an issue - my home office is like Disneyland at night anyway - sooooo many flickering LEDs. For those for whom it's a problem, try turning them off and saving power.
Seriously, if you need as many pixels as you can get, and you don't want to mess around with a quad video card, these monitors are for you!

Cheap, and you get what you paid for
When attached with a VGA cable, right hand side of the panel consistently exhibits flickering horizontal red lines. Switching over to DVI is even worse; showing SOLID red lines (both vertical and horizontal) Light beige area takes on an interesting cyan tint. This is an absolute piece of junk.
