Unclear how new this battery is. The packaging was new, but there was no date when it was manufactured. It doesn't last much longer than the three-year old one I had that was dying.

The battery I rcvd was dated Feb 2006 & did not come in the original packaging. I contacted the seller, & after a few back & forth e-mail communication, they send me a 2nd battery, again dated 2006 & not in original packaging. They claim that "new" means "never been used"... my 1st battery was all scratched & 2006 is not what I call "new".
After I submitted this review, I rcvd multiple e-mails from the seller asking me to change my rating... sorry, a fair (3) rating is all that can be given to a 2006 product, in 2009. Please change your advertisement to show the age of the product as the current one is misleading.

Received the OEM LG battery from SF Planet promptly.
The battery appeared to be new and unopened, used it for 2 weeks and it died abruptly when my wife was out of town on a trip. I kept my wife's original battery which she is currently using again. I read reviews and found some of the batteries didn't work any better than the original one's that came with the phone 4 years ago.I guess since the phone is no longer made these are just old inventory. At least they are very inexpensive...buyer beware.

What can be said about a battery? It holds a charge for a few days. It's necessary. It wouldn't be a mobile phone without it. If you have the type of cell phone that needs this type of battery, then go for it.

This battery works as well as any I have had and the price was right.
