Very powerful laser

(5 out of 5) by J. J. Marino on Dec 3, 2008 (Rochester, New York)
Green lasers are at a higher wavelength than red lasers. The benefit? It goes farther and punctuates haze very well. This laser pointer is more than ample for use in general applications. It is strong enough to go all the way across a stadium, (I tried it at a local game and it hit the scoreboard).

I did not purchase this for astronomy uses but it will not be able to be seen on the moon or anything. On a side note this pointer was nearly $400 last year and the costs have come down significantly since then. So get one of these and impress your red laser toting friends!

Thanks

50mw is too much

(3 out of 5) by Galin R. Martinov on Jun 4, 2009 (cali)
if you buy this get ready to either get lots of batteries and they are the AAA kind. Rechargables work too but the bottom line is that you get very few minutes of the actual true power. Personaly i was looking forward to have it but there are better deals so look around and yes 50mw is a lot but it drains the batteries.
