Purchased the Link Sys Terabyte server, aka Media Hub as soon as I saw the advertisement! Upon arrival, I added a second terabyte drive and then fired the system up. System installed flawlessly save for the Shadow Software on my 64 bit machine (BTW tried it again last night and it immediately loaded... go figure). Only complaint, I have to manually save my Nikon RAW files from my camera. Everything else works as advertised! So far, I'm very pleased with the units performance!

HORRIBLE PROBLEMS, NO LINKSYS SUPPORT
I downloaded a Linksys firmware update (after being prompted to do so) and now own a very expensive decoration that doesn't function as a media hub. If you go to the Linksys product support page for this product, you'll see there are many others experiencing the same problem and Linksys has done nothing to fix the problem after several months. Although I'm within the warranty, the only option is to replace one defective unit with another. In short, stay away from this product -- Linksys hasn't fixed the kinks and has TERRIBLE customer support.

Excelente producto
This is a excelent product.
All the content is avaiable once have access to the media center.
I think that one improve will be you can lock and unlock certain content.
Una vez que te conectas al media center se tiene acceso a todo el contenido, creo que se deberia poder bloquear y desbloquear cierto contenido, esto pensando en contenido no apto para menores que se pudiera tener en el media center.
Saludos.

This thing is a joke
Sorry but Its just not worth the cash. An old PC with a hard drive makes a faster and more reliable file server. You cant even control the access rights on this thing. Even though its gigabit compatible its very slow. A 2.2Gb file takes 25 seconds to transger on my Gigbit network takes 1 minutes and 25 seconds to transfer from this thing.
This is faster than many other NAS boxes but I think I will stick with my little Zotac box I built. It was cheaper and can ever play movies on a HDTV.
Also the player will not work with most video formats so you have to resort to the shared drive to access files.
The unit is going back.

Not for MAC
This is not MAC friendly, I REPEAT NOT MAC FRIENDLY. I have tried to get my mac to read and write to the hard drive. When creating a folder using the web interface you are unable to write to is when connected through shared computers in MAC. Another problem is when you try to delete a created folder it still shows up in the browser and in the web application under the configuration screen. I have not been able to remove them from this screen regardless of what I do. I feel this has been the WORST product linksys has put out. The reason I wnt with this is because of the name. I have stuck with the linksys brand routers because of the ease of use and reliablilty. I STRONGLY feel let down with their Network Hard Drive.
I even tried changing the setting using a windows computer and installing the software but I have slo had no such luck getting it to be setup as a read and write network hard drive. I am in the process of looking for another one that will allow me to set limits on usage and control who has access to various folders. If anyone has a suggestion please respond.
