Logitech, you got the buttons dead wrong. Touch sensitive and on the top? Any time I pick up the radio or reach across it I change the station, volume, etc. Think before you follow an Apple trend. It is annoying. If the buttons were on the face of the unit, then touch would have made sense because they would have been less likely to push, and would be easier to activate since the unit would want to tip backwards when pushed. But on the top, where it is easy to adequately supply ample pressure to push in a button? c'mon. Did you do any testing of this product? The second you saw your testers push twice to get a response from the unit should have clearly indicated you have an interface problem. Sound is fine and tuner works well.

I compared this to JVC, Sony and Klipsch side by side at Circuit City and the Altec blew away the competition! Everyone who comes into my office is amazed at the sound in a portable unit. It rocks!

HOPING WITH ALTEC LANSING THE QUALITY WOULD BE BETTER. LOTS OF BUGS. UNIT TURNS ITSELF ON AND OFF OVER AND OVER AGAIN. WITH THE UNIT FULLY CHARGED AND IPHONE FULLY CHARGED PLAYED IPOD FOR ABOUT 1 SONG BEFORE IT SAYS LOW BATTERY AND WONT PLAY ANY MORE. WHEN IPHONE WAS DOCKED THE UNIT WOULD TURN IT ON AND OFF, ON AND OFF, OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN. THE REMOTE IS VERY SMALL AND THIN, YOU HAVE TO MASH BUTTON DOWN COUPLE OF TIMES TO MAKE CONNECTION. I'M GOING TO ASSUME THAT THIS ONE'S A LEMON AND AN ODDITY BUT I WONT GET ANOTHER. HIGH SIDE - SOUND WAS WONDERFUL.

Absolutely perfect. Could not have asked for more. Was like new. The slightly beaten box the only reason this could be considered second hand.
