I used them at an outdoor party and had NO trouble hearing over all the noise. I may have sold about 10 of them from impressed friends from the party (Amazon owes me some money, I think--wink). Buy them. Buy them now.

The sound isn't amazing or anything, but it sounds MUCH better than my laptop speakers. They definitely don't sound bad. They are also easily portable, so they are perfect for taking my iPod out. I highly recommend these speakers!
