The resulting pictures are great.
Use of all the camera's features requirs use and reference to the manual.

The extra items I feel are bonuses because most places sell the camera alone for this amount. All the additional items work well and its worth any small extra you pay if you need these items.

You can have your shooting experience be very automated, with auto-focus and many other features or you can have full manual control over every aspect of your photograph. The kit includes everything needed to start taking and experiencing wonderful photos. The spare battery is most beneficial and with the 16GB card and card reader you can shoot all day and not have to worry about running out of space. To be so hi-tech and professional the camera is very user-friendly. Although the lens provided is the basic for digital SLRs, it has a wide range of focus. If you know how to handle it, the lens provided can serve as a great zoom and a fantastic micro. But, if you're serious about photography I would think about upgrading the lens.
All in all it is probably the BEST photography bundle for new photographers or students. And with the "Nikon" label you know you're getting a quality camera and at around $600.00 it is by far the BEST deal on the internet. All I have to say is "GET IT, BEFORE IT IS GONE."
