Better than original but still not good enough.
(3 out of 5) by Florida Stitcher on Aug 30, 2009 (USA)I have had this cover for some time now and still have the same complaint. It is too hard to reach the on/off switch in the back. For that reason, I do not use the upper right corner as it is intended to use to help secure it. But it is still quite difficult to use the on/off switch. Using only three corners still keeps it secure enough for me. The cover that came with it seemed to allow it to flop all around too much. I am definitely using this, but if I see a better one, I will buy it.

Looks pretty but not functional

The two corner hold on the original cover made me a little nervous because I found the kindle slipped out pretty easy during handling and the reviews for this cover seemed very positive.
I tried to use it when I first got it about 5 months ago and found the kindle so hard to turn on and off that I abandoned it in favor of the original cover. I decided last week to give it a try again...I really do not like it for two reasons:
1. The fit is too tight which makes it very hard to turn on and off. Why didn't they put elastic in two corners?
2. The oversize cover makes it awkward to hold and read. It seems to sort of flop around and it is almost unmanageable when I put my light on it for night reading.
I know plenty of people love this cover but in terms of functionality and easy use of the kindle the original cover wins hands down.

Wanted to love it!

It was very tight and difficult to put on. Well, that would have been ok, if it held it secure and safe. But it held it too secure. The tiny corner strap on the upper left corner pressed down on the "Prev Page" key, and my Kindle started backing up rapidly. I tried to stretch out the strap (though it's not stretchy). I got it to stop pressing on the button, but it sort of rubbed on the button when I would push it.
I would like to fiddle with it some more, but for now I have the original cover back on it.

Love it~

not so great

With the exception of a strong odor out of the box--that one is pretty good. THis one by M-Edge--not so much. FIrst that little strap to secure it is a pain in the neck. The only thing to hold it in place are 4 elastic corner straps. And most annoying of all, it opens length-wise, like a pad. The Amazon cover opens like a book. I like to take my kindle on the subway and it's really quick to pull it open and read, I can't imagine that holding the M-edge would be as comfortable or quick to open.
