Good, but not Great

This SATA dock works well for drives under 1TB, did not recognize my 1.5TB drive at all.

Great HDD Dock.

(5 out of 5) by X. Chen on Aug 29, 2009 (NJ, USA)
I got his item from another website when it was on sale, so I didn't pay the price that amazon have it listed. For the price I paid for I thought this was another generic cheap hdd dock, I was glad that I was wrong. This Dock is amazing. Better than all other major brand hdd dock I have. Totally Solved the problems that I had before, the memory reader that on the dock works wonderfully, which if you would buy it separately would cost $20+

Great idea, mediocre execution

(3 out of 5) by M. Kubes on Aug 3, 2009
It does it's main job, docking SATA drives, quite well. Drives seat well on the connector and the vertical support for the drive is a nice addition. Having said that, the overall construction seems cheap and would benefit by having a weighted base so it doesn't slide around with the slightest touch. The Compact Flash socket is frustrating at best as there is no positive guide for sliding the card into the slot making it very difficult to align it with the contacts. I've not tried the other slots, so no comment on those. The USB plugs seem to work just fine, but the unit's lack of weight make inserting & removing plugs a two-handed task.

D.O.A. (or, I don't work with Vista)

(1 out of 5) by R. McCue on Jul 16, 2009 (Upstate So. Carolina)
Nothing works except the little red light that says the power is on.
The install disc arrived scratched, the "manual" is poorly written, the unit is made of super light weight plastic and it doesn't work with Vista.
It also appeared that it had been returned before. There was no factory wrapping on the box and the bag that contained the cables was closed with a piece of tape. I can't get rid of this thing fast enough!

Gets several jobs done

(4 out of 5) by Roberto Castillo on May 13, 2009 (Chicago, IL United States)
Given this product's many options, an all in one card reader, an SATA hard drive docking station, and USB hub, it is probably overkill in some ways. But it's nice to have all of these features in one compact product. I mostly bought it for the hard drive docking station which works well.
