AWFUL!!!!
This was a horrible purchase! I know it only cost a penny but after shipping, that was three dollars wasted. I threw mine away. The sound quality was HORRIBLE! And the static noise was so loud, I could barely hear the music. Do not purchase this! Save your money and buy the $10.00 one at Walmart!

DIDN"T EVEN WORK!
It didn't even work the first time i put it in. It made a God awful sound that was unbareable untill, by some miracle, my tape player spat it out like the **** it is. Don't buy it! Honestly, if you think you're getting a good deal, remember you are only paying a penny for it (PLUS SHIPPING).

Terrible quality
You cant complain for a penny, however the distortion is awful and not worth listening to... spend the money and get a decent tape.

Price is right but sound quality could be better
I initially purchased two of these adapters (one for each of our cars) because I do not have a MP3 jack on my factory stereo this appeared to be an inexpensive alternative to the FM-based adapters. Well, it technically works (sound from the ipod is played through the stereo) but the sound quality is very poor. The higher frequencies are almost totally missing and the general sound quality is somewhat muffled. At first I thought that either my cassette deck was dirty or my adapter was defective but since I bought two of them for two cars, was able to try all combinations and the results were the same.
My recommendation is to spend the extra $15 and get the Griffin iTrip FM tramsmitter. That is what I finally did and the sound quality is much better.

Utilitarian adapter is a good buy for $2.99 delivered.
For under $3.00 you can't get a better cassette adapter to work with your MP3 player or iPod. While advertised as low noise, there is a certain amount of mechanical noise associated with running it. In addition, it picks up a bit of distortion from time to time, but nothing too serious. All in all, it delivers what it promises: the ability to listen to your device through your outdated stereo equipment. It's worth every penny of the $3.00 it cost me to buy it and have it delivered. (At any price point over $3.00 I think I'd be deducting stars.)
