I like it, it's a safe buy.

(5 out of 5) by Jason Jung on Dec 29, 2008
I first wondered if I really needed a separate bag for my Netbook because it was small enough to fit in any bag. But then I didn't wanna scratch or damage it and decided to try this pouch. At first, I liked the price. For $20, I couldn't have messed it up bad.

Once I got it, I really liked how light and carriable it is. Then I opened it up and found out that the double-memory foam really works well to protect the Netbook. Also the front pocket gave just enough room to keep my mouse and charger. For a bag like this, the smaller, the better. I really like it because it is just the perfect size for my Netbook.

It also has the water-proof case, which makes it pretty decent for carrying it around in the rain, but I wouldn't recommend leaving it in the rain (or doing a laundry).

Don't buy this case if owned Asus Eee PC 1000HA netbooks.

This case doesn't fit very well for Asus Eee PC 1000HA. When you put your netbook into the case, zips scratchs the corners very horrible! Also, it is not deep enough for 6 cell battery. I would not recommend this case for Asus Eee PC 1000HA. Even it has the memory foam and the front pocket (very useless after you put 1000HA in, there is no room for other things), but the size is not really what I want. I need to buy another case now. Wasted money!

Stylish, but not practical

(2 out of 5) by Get Real, Butthead on Feb 8, 2009 (Way-out, MT United States)
This case looks great in the photos. But, when it comes to functionality, it's not worth the price. Yes, it's true, the memory foam is a nice protection feature. But, the side pouch doesn't hold much of anything, has no depth -because of the "flat" base, and the zippers scrape the corners of the computer. I actually had to push down on the netbook in order to zip the case shut. I'm selling this one, and got another case with excellent protection, and much more room.

Sorry, folks at ASUS, you missed it on this one!

having used it, change to five stars

I wanted something more than the sleeve that came with the computer, something with a handle or shoulder strap. Learning from experience, I found out that a 10" case did not work for a 10" computer.

This case holds my ASUS 1000HA plus the charging stuff. It fits tightly, but it works.

The case is a keeper for me. I may want to travel with a mouse, or whatever, but that can go in my travel bag, or not. I like this because I can carry what I originally wanted...a netbook, and charging equipment.

Bag suits me because it does the job it promised.

Chris

UPDATE...***** (that is five stars)
If you are having trouble fitting the computer in, there is a little board at the bottom of the case...push that down and the computer fits well.

I now stuff a bunch in the pouch on the front...it all fits, just not pretty. I carry the charging stuff for the asus, a mouse, and the charging stuff for my cell phone. Also, the inside of the case works well as a mouse pad. cb

Very Classy!

I'm extremely happy with the quality of this case.

I've none of the issues previously posted by some buyers. The 1000HA fits perfectly and there's enough room on the side so I don't have to remove my little Bluetooth 'nub' from the USB port. The Netbook is held in place by black straps on the bottom and clear straps across the corners of the lid/screen. It's very secure and doesn't allow the machine and case to separate from each other unless you work at it. There's even an inner foam pad that flips up/down and is attached to the rear of the case. I'm guessing this is designed to tuck 'under' the rear of the netbook while in use so the machine is lifted slightly from the case for cooling/ventilation. When not in use the pad can be flipped up to add protection to the rear (battery) of the machine in case it's dropped in transit.

There's plenty of space in the outside pocket for a Bluetooth mouse and the charger/power cord that came with the netbook. I'll upload a couple of 'customer photos' to the site after sending this so users can see what the case looks like with a netbook in it and what the case looks like loaded with accessories in the pouch.

Cheers
