these sound good - I'm older so my hearing is not what is once was - plus I'm using a Iriver unit - Iriver iy has the WOW sound control so you can tune the sound to your ear buds which helps - they include different size ear plugs so you can get the ear buds to fit - the wires are covered with a woven cover - it may make them last longer - ear buds seem to break the wires inside at he ear piece or at the plug

Did a fair amount of research to find the right set of earbuds for around $50. Right out of the package, these were the ones! Clear sound, good length, good fit, cloth wire to reduce tangles (I don't use them for active use, so the interference wasn't a problem for me), etc. I was very pleased.

Then the buds failed within a month -- produced only very faint sound. I was very pleased with Altec Lansing's service and they quickly replaced them without any hassle.

Next set worked great, just like before. Within 5 months, the left earbud failed.

I always kept them in the case when they're not in my ears. I didn't wrap them around my iPod. I didn't abuse them.

They're great when they work. I'll be looking for something more durable.

Great overall sound both bass & treble. It justs sounds crisper with tremendous bass. The in the ear buds isolate all noise to maximize the experience and very comfortable to boot. I can't say enough goods things about these headphones. One of the best values I have ever purchased.

I have been looking for a good pair of personal headphones for a while. I had two main requirements. 1)They needed to have excellent sound and 2) they need to stay in my ears.
These Altec Lansing UHP326 In-Ear Headphones do that and so much more! First of all I am completely impressed with the sound quality from these small in-ear headphones. I am completely surrounded by my smooth jazz and traditional classical music as I go about my daily commuting in and out of the city. I can now enjoy my favorite digital playlist or video on my iPAQ 2495 without disturbing my fellow passengers ( with the exception of an occasional chuckle when watching a video).

The Altec Lansing UHP326 headphones also, 'stay' in my ears comfortably while I am running about the city. I love the fact that it comes with multiple ear bud covers (as I have small ear canals and previously only wore the earbuds with over-the-ear clips).

These headphones work equally well with my PDA, laptop and home stereo (while sitting in my massage chair). Thank you Altec Lansing for a great product and thank you Amazon.com for a good price and prompt delivery (even allowing me to track my purchase online...right to my desk at work).
I sometimes use my headphones to listen to music samplings for my clients right at my desk or catch up on mid-day online news stories without disrupting the rest of our small office.

I have recommended these to friends and colleagues. And now I don't mind commuting to and from work...no matter what the outside weather. There's a concert going on right 'here'. Trust me...it makes for a better commute for everybody.

These headphones are the best you can get for the money. They have the sound quality of much more expensive headphones, and having compared them to the $80 Klipsch Image-4 headphones and there was virtually 0 difference in sound quality.

The only con i can think of is that you can hear friction against the chord, but snake it up through or shirt or jacket and you're all set.
