Great Product

Easy to use. Love it. One note, the easiest way to get images to the frame is a memory stick. I would just purchase one with the frame if you do't already have one.

Traveler

Kodak EasyShare P820 8-Inch Digital Picture Frame

My purpose in purchasing this frame was to share my travel pictures with friends. I loaded my pictures on a USB drive that I plug into the frame. It provides a nice slide show and I will enjoy looking at them again from time to time.

I did not attempt to load pictures into the frame so I cannot speak to ease or difficulty of that process.

The quality of the picture is excellent and I am very pleased with my purchase.

Good Mid-Intro level Digital Frame

(4 out of 5) by Dave on Jan 12, 2009 (Florida)
I bought this frame for my Mom. She has a bunch of pictures she has taken, and no real way to display them except on the computer.

The Frame is not overly complicated for her, yet has plenty of fetures. It has a nice picture, and its firmware is upgradeable by downloading it from Kodak onto a memory stick and putting it in.

The touch frame is nice, though don't expect something like an iPhone, although it works well. I found it easiest to touch the small ridge around the frame.

The other option she liked was the fact she can plug a thumb drive into it and just use that. She got a 3-pack from a local store and has sorted them into different themes. One might have just pets, the other vacations, one of friends and family.

If you are looking for a good mid-level first digital frame I would pick up this one. My mom is happy with it, and I'm thinking about getting myself one.

poor design and slow - but nice quality display

(1 out of 5) by you'reneveralone on Jul 11, 2009 (nc)
This digital frame has a very nice display (good job Kodak!) but has a very slow processing time making it very tedious to load and arrange slide shows or transfer pics to the frame. Given other very good and easy to use options out there I'd rate this a two - except that it's NOT CHEAP. The cost of this frame (even at discount) is equal to or higher than displays of equal quality that have better options and ease of function.

Pros: nice display

Cons: No internal memory, No video or music capability, not at all
intuitive, no battery, functions slowly

Caution, bought two and neither work

I purchased two of the Kodak M820 Digital Picture Frames for Christmas gifts. Plug them in, turn them on and only get a white screen. My first stop is the manual, worthless.

The Kodak Help Center is the poorest I've come across.
After proceeding through the step-by-step solutions, which there wasn't one (solution) listed that fit the problem description. I filled out the brief description of the problem. Then I tried the online chat with a "trained technical support agent" and I receive and error that my browser (Firefox) is not supported. I then opened the page in Internet Explorer and received the same error message. So what browser is supported???
To top it off, I click on the link to take a short survey and first it tells me that the survey period is over. When I try it again it returns back to the Step-by-Step Solutions and Repair page. Nice.

I'm not going to bother exchanging them or sending to Kodak for repair. Because I ran into the same problem with two, I'm surely not taking the chance on giving these as gifts.
