In practice this item item worked pretty well. It does block out background noise. The sounds though did not come out as crisp as before. It does naturally seem to increase bass. My biggest gripe is that they don't stay on to the earbud to well while not being worn. They easily fall off the earbud when not in use such as in your pocket or hanging around one's neck. They did however stay on securely when worn.

This things work great. They are soft, make earbuds fit much better, seem to improve the sound, and best of all, they don't fall out of your ear anymore. The package comes with a pair of size 5 and a pair of size 6 Acoustibuds. The size 5 fits me and my wife, and, no offense, but I can't imagine anyone's ear canal being a size 6 because it is huge.

My only complaint is that I wish that they allowed you to order these by size because I'd much rather have two size 5's than to have one of each which results in you having one pair that does you no good at all -- it seems like a waste.

The Accousti buds are grrrreat! The only problem I have had so far is keeping them for myself. My wife, my nephew, and friends who I have let try them out want them for themselves. My friends will have to buy their own, but I did break down and give a pair to my nephew and wife. After I purchase my next set I will give one pair to my niece, and keep the other set for myself (2 pair come in the pack). I didn't have any problem getting them to fit in my ear and could hardly tell they were even in. I am training for a half marathon and they are a blessing. I was about ready to break down and buy a pricy set of ear phones for running because I was getting tired of stopping to replace the ear bud as they continually fall out. With this product I haven't had to stop yet. As for the sound improvement there is no doubt that they improve the sound quality. I listen to a variety of music and now that I am without a pair for myself the music just doesn't sound the same. Without my acoustibuds it sounds like the music is coming out of a tunnel. Grrreat product! Can't wait till my next order comes in!

These covers work great. i listen to my mp3 player on my phone and before i had to turn the music all the say up and heard more treble than bass. With these on the ear buds, the bass comes in a lot stronger and i can turn the volume down 2 - 3 bars. it greatly reduces background noise. A much cheaper way to get more sound without having to buy expensive noise canceling ear buds.

I have bought at least 6 pairs of these for friends and colleges - they are great - besides enhancing the sound they stop the earphones from slipping out if you exersize and reduce alot of external noise - for the price they are a great gift idea for anyone who owns and ipod, etc.
