What a bargain!

(5 out of 5) by Mr. E. Mann on Jan 8, 2009 (Merrimack, NH)
I've had this computer for several weeks now and have had no problems whatsoever. How can you beat such a deal. I paid less than $500 for a relatively fast computer with a good-size hard drive and plenty of memory. It does all the basics smoothly, has a built-in webcam and mike, and comes with decent software. I had a slight problem with an incompatability message when opening a PDF file, but when I click the IGNORE button the file opens fine.
It has some subtle but nice features such as a lighted cap lock key and a lighted charger input so you know if it's charging or not. It has Vista Home Premium with SP2. If it's your first encounter with Vista, it's worth getting a book explaining Vista tips and tricks because it has so many hidden useful features that you would possibly never come across.
This laptop is such an improvement over my previous Toshiba that I'm glad I ran over my old computer by mistake.

Great Starter Notebook Computer

(5 out of 5) by Darena Dorsey on Jan 4, 2009 (The South, USA)
I received this notebook computer for Christmas. It has been excellent and very easy to use. I have a Dell desktop computer but this is my first notebook computer and after just a few brief instructions on how to get started, everything was to easy to use.

It comes loaded with lots of trial offer items that may or may not be of interest to you. My came loaded with trial periods of games and now I'm addicted to several. It did not come loaded with an internet provider like computers use to when everyone was still on dial-up. Most people are probably on high-speed now but I am still on dial-up. The easiest way for me to get my internet provider on my notebook was to go somewhere that had high-speed, access it that way, then go directly to my internet provider's website and download it from there. It only took a few moments and was very easy to do. That has been the only thing that required any more installation for me.

The screen is large and easy to see. The keys have been easy to use, very comfortable to type on and the keys are easy to reach. The only problem that I have had is sometimes when I am typing, my arms hit the mouse pad on the computer and it will make the page roll a little. I'm learning now to keep my wrists out of the way.

I definitely recommend getting a cordless mouse. I can't stand using the mouse pad that comes on notebook computers. I have theLogitech V320 Cordless Optical Mouse for Notebooks- Grey and I really love it. Very easy to use.

This does come loaded with Vista and I have not had any problems or complaints with it besides that some of my older software is not compatible and cannot be installed on this computer.

I recommend for anyone who needs a laptop computer for school work, office work, and internet access and light game playing. I love mine.

Better than I expected.

(5 out of 5) by Rebecca L. Pearl on Jan 20, 2009
I bought this for my son, primarily for his computer games. I wasn't sure if the graphics would be sufficient for his games, but it works great, and he's very happy with it.
