All the previous posts of customer reviews are accurate and very helpful. Truly an amazing deal for a 42" with spectacular view and crispy images. I have checked the quality of Sony, Samsung and other competitive brands. Visio has equivalent quality in lesser unbeatable price. I got a further $100 discount when I bought it from Dell website. I would definitely recommend buying this TV if SONY bravia is out of your budget.
Cons : The remote control seems a bit creepy.

I own the Sony Bravia 52", KDL-52W4100. Although the Sony has more bells and whistles, I can barely distinguish a difference in the picture quality between the two TVs. I enjoy watching the Vizio as much as the Sony. Also, my Vizio came with the multi-device remote, and I find it easy to use. Great value and the price was right. I recently paid [...] for the Vizio 42" XVT at Costco, which also adds a free year of warranty after the manufacture's warranty expires.

I've been looking at several HD TV's, and this Vizio XVT 42" SV420 is incredible. The 120Hz makes sports and gaming action so smooth compared to lesser models out there. Only con I can see, is buying it via Amazon (current list on Amazon, $1636.99 with used ones being around $`1200. This model is available via several other stores (Circuit City, Sam's Club, etc) with a list price between $999 and $1099.

I bought this tv mainly for gaming and thats where this tv shines. The full HD is amazing and the 120ghz doubles the frame rate which is great. Overall, If you play a lot of video games this is the one to go for. Gears of War 1 and 2 especially are beautiful.
