Fantastic performance...
(5 out of 5) by Kelly on Apr 30, 2009I have to say- the only reason I got this computer is because it was rated high by Cnet.com tech. It helps that I also got a sweet deal, $800.
I traded this thing in for a 1GB Acer laptop. Total upgrade. Though I am used to crappy computers, I've used some goodies too. My hope was this to land somewhere between.
That it did.
It has an amazing screen that I marveled at for a week+ until it became routine to see it.
It truly is an "all-in-one", I would definitely pack this up for trips in a suitcase. Though it is kind of heavy, I like the performance of a desktop more than a laptop (even though I was terrified to make the change).
I very much love the keyboard. I can type with ease.
I saw some complaints of the mouse being small, but it fits my hand perfectly- but I have small hands.
Another complaint I've seen is when a person tried to eject a CD-ROM from the side of the PC, the computer seems flimsy. I disagree. I've never had one problem with this, the computer weighs over 15 pounds for goodness sake.
And I also love that it *does* slide out from the side. Very sleek.
The cam works perfectly.
All in all, it's a computer I'm proud of.
Speedy, pretty affordable.
Only cons:
To be honest, I wouldn't pay any more than $800 for it.
The keyboard volume keys got stuck within the first couple days I had it. When I try to raise the volume from the keyboard it sometimes goes up FULL blast because it gets stuck. I wonder what went wrong with that.
The mouse is kind of cheaply made. It looks like it's getting pretty dirty even though I've only had it for a couple weeks...and it's hard to clean.
The stand can be sort of hard to adjust and re-adjust, so once I get it the way I want it, I don't really want to move it.
If you can get this for under a $[...], it's definitely a good buy!
