Way Better Than the Shuffle

(5 out of 5) by A5sticks on Feb 7, 2010 (PA)
I've had 4 i-pod Generation 2 Shuffles none of which lasted a year. They were fine while they lasted but this Sony blows them out of the water. More features, better quality .... sorry I waited so long. Highly recommended.

Better than my Shuffle

I own a Ipod classic, nano, shuffle, sony bean player and now this walkman. After switching from sony players to apple products, i always missed the ease of dragging dropping files and using the player like a USB drive. Itunes slows down my PC and hate to wait for 30 seconds while it launches. I loved my Nano, thats why i bought a shuffle for running, but shuffle lacks of display and the pain of Itunes made me switch back to sony players for running.
This player is great, compact and solid. Easy to transfer files just by drag n drop, is a great flash drive to hold any kind of files. Sound quality is great and is in par with the shuffle. Love the Bass button that I can turn on or off depending on the type of song.
This cannot replace a Ipod nano but is way better replecement to Ipod shuffle.

Loved this little guy

Had I not accidentally left this MP3 player in a taxi cab along with my gloves, I would still be listening to it. I love the fact that USB is built into the player so that I can download music both at home and at work, and if necessary charge the player when I'm away without having to remember yet another cable cord. As I am someone who usually updates my music daily and isn't interested in having my entire music library on my player, the Walkman is perfect. Only things which could be improved are the lack of playlist making on-the-go, and sometimes I had trouble with the display scrolling the name of the title of the song and artist.

happy in it's use

1. Small
2. Cute
3. Easy to use
4. Great sound quality
5. FM radio with record feature

CONS

They're aren't a lot of options out there for carrying this thing around.

I noticed a lot of complaints about using this mp3 player at the gym because it does not offer an armband or carrying case, however there is a loophole in the back of this device (just like a cellphone would normally have) which allows you to hook a ringlet through it and attach that to a lanyard. They sell plenty of mp3 lanyards online, and this allows you to simply wear your music around your neck. I actually prefer this to an armband! It's perfect for working out at the gym now, as it is hands free! Sony sold accessories for this particular model which included an armband and several lanyards in a variety of colors, however they are now discontinued, but you still may be able to find them on Ebay. That's how I got mine!
