(5 out of 5) by Betty Gomez on Sep 20, 2009 (Bronx,NY)I have a refurblished 37" directly purchased from phillps 2006 and so I was feeling confident about this purchase and I was not disappointed,moved the 37" to the living room which now looks better than ever and placed this 47" in the bed room and I was spprized at the quality of the build and clearity of the picture, i would diffinantly recommend this TV

Doesn't work with a laptop

I found out that it doesn't take the VGA output which most LCD TVs do.
It 's a bloomer, not that many laptops got that DVI output that you can hook it to the HDMI input of the TV. You need a desktop with a graphic card plus a DVI-HDMI cable in order to get signal from a computer.

On it's way back for a refund!
(1 out of 5) by Expecting 1st girl on Apr 7, 2009 (Jacksonville, FL USA)We bought this TV and were thrilled with it...until we got home and tried to set it up. The first screen would appear telling us thank you for your Philips purchase, please push the green next button. When we would push the button, it would shut the tv off! After continually trying, we called customer service. They could not give us an explanation but said they could send a technician out. No thanks! We'll take it back and buy a different brand. Don't waste your time on this purchase!
