(4 out of 5) by Eder Luiz M. Faria on Dec 12, 2008 (Brasília (DF))
If you just wanna to connect you Ipod to listen music on you receiver, don't thik twice. This is the best and affordable option. Easy to use and cheaper.

an overpriced wire!

(2 out of 5) by innerstation on Sep 25, 2009 (Southeastern Louisiana)
Love my Denon a/v receiver and I wanted something better than plugging in our ipods w/ the 3.5mm jack. I liked the idea of being able to navigate using the denon remote, the look of a dock over the ipod & wire sitting on/by the receiver, and getting a charge while it sat there. The ability to view our photos and even movies/tv shows made it sound great and so i ordered. I got it set it up and it does those things and looks nice doing them.

BUT, there is NO VIDEO - no movie, tv, or photo - display. I thought i needed to do more setup to get those features working and went to Denon's web site. That's when i learned that "Due to change in specification by Apple, no video output is possible in either mode".

Worse, the onscreen display makes War Games era graphics look like Cover Flow. I suppose I gotta try something other than - the default - remote mode if I wanna navigate using the ipod itself. Which is where I was before I ordered this thing in the first place.

Excellent dock

(5 out of 5) by Jody & Dave on Dec 12, 2008 (Cicero, NY)
Excellent docking station. I hooked it up to a Denon 1909 and have had no problems. All the song info comes up on the TV and I scroll through and make selections via the TV display. The sound quality is comparable to my CD player (inputs via RCA). The graphic display is rudimentary but that is a function of the receiver not the dock.

Oh so slow

(3 out of 5) by J. Lewis on Mar 18, 2009 (East Haven, CT USA)
I hooked up the dock to my new AVR-2309CI receiver. Easy installation, great sound but it is SO SLOW when navigating artists, songs, etc. For example if I want to go from Back in Black (AC/DC) to Thug (ZZ Top) it takes forever. I've found that I forget what I'm looking for before I get there. Too bad it doesn't have a search feature or faster browse function.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that my iPod is a 3G, 80GB model with over 600 CDs on it?
