This USB device works fine under Windows Vista

(5 out of 5) by JA-CHI WANG on Aug 22, 2009 (Chicago, IL United States)
I had two desktops in my home. One is very easy to use cable to connect to router. Another one is not easy due to distance problem. So I need wireless USB adapter for the connection for this computer.

I got Buffalo Air Station G54 before. It worked fine under Windows XP. Two months ago, I upgraded this computer from XP to Vista Ultimate, and it got big problems - I need to install the device driver for this device every time when I boot up my Vista system. It's really a nightmare for me. So I went to Amazon.com looking for another USB adapter which can work for Windows Vista.

There are not too many choices for my need. So I just tried to buy Medialink Wireless G USB Adapter - 802.11g - 54Mbps after long research. Now it proofs my choice is totally correct because Medialink Wireless G USB Adapter - 802.11g - 54Mbps has no problems working under my windows Vista.

mediabridge USB wireless adapter

(5 out of 5) by Bradley K on Aug 13, 2009 (Los Angeles)
I have purchased two Mediabridge USB wireless adapters and installed them on pc's with Windows XP. The adapter comes with very clear instructions, software CD including the drivers and is very easy to install. It appears to work quite well. The only limitation is what seems to be slightly slow transfer speed but this would only likely be an issue when downloading or transferring very large files via your network connection. Overall, I am very happy with this product.

Works with all my stuff!

(5 out of 5) by tlm550 on Oct 20, 2009

I believe this is the Best wireless USB adapter that you can get. This one actually works on everything. The others I've had conflict with standard devices and only worked on limited systems.

This works perfectly in XP, 32 and 64-bit.
This works perfectly in Vista, 32 and 64 bit.
And most importantly for me, this works perfectly in Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit!

My new desktop, which came with Vista 64-bit and currently has Windows7 RC 64-bit, didn't have wireless. But this product works perfectly on it and on my notebook. I've had two other adapters and neither of those would work in 64-bit, and one of them wouldn't work in Vista or 7, even 32-bit.

Works great

I had one of these before but lost the software for it. It's difficult to download software if you can't get online in the first place so I was stuck. (Yes, I tried downloading the driver on another computer and copying the file - didn't work.) So I bought this one and had my son's new (to him) XP desk top online in ten minutes without any problem at all. This is a simple, inexpensive way to make a computer without a wireless card go wireless.
