BEST PROSUMER MOUSE
I just received this mouse in the mail today and it blew my expectations. I fell in love with the precursor to this mouse, the MX1000 and loved that model for it's unique "full body" design which really allows you to rest your palm on the mouse. It seems like in today's market you get cheaper lighter smaller mice that are a dime a dozen on the market. You could go to any bestbuy and pick one up for under $20. I love the fact that unlike small notebook mice you don't need to scrunch your hand to conform to a small mouse. Those looking for a very small mouse should look at the MX Revolution or the VX Revolution and stop ruining it for the rest of us who enjoy this mouse. I have normal sized hands and still I feel like this is a perfect fit for me if not a little too small (yes i would even like it a little bigger). This mouse let's me spread my hand and rest my palm on the mouse and the tall body gives me even more confort, the secret is the arc it really provides comfort and a solid feel. Because of it's great unique feel, ergonomics and features, this is a good choice for designers or gamers a mouse like this seems to be the Mercedez Benz of the mouse world. The features are amazing; with 2.4 ghz signal, the feel and the new look actually surpass what I initially perceived as a "downsizing" of what was already an amazing mouse (MX1000). The only reason I went with this one and not the MX1000 was the swappable batteries. Other than that I do prefer the slightly larger body of the MX1000, but had issues with the irrplacable recharable battery. Buttons have been added like the thumb and the overall grip feel is nice; not too tacky, but also enough friction that it snuggles up to your hand. I can't overstate the size and the weight enough. I love it, I almost wish it would be a bit bigger and taller somewhat like the MX1000. But overall I do love the weight and the size. Logitech made a mouse like this to appeal to those who want something that compliments what their needs are. The size, weight of this mouse is perfect in the MX series. The day they conform to light small mouses with the regardless of the features is the day I will stop buying them, again this is a unique mouse that EVERY GAMER and DESIGNER will love. BTW, I don't even have big hands. Yet it feel like it was made with my hand mold. Absolutely perfect. Also to add, the MX Revolution has that annoying wheel that makes gripping the mouse uncomfortable, I'm glad the didn't put it on this mouse. That might be a deal breaker. It's good that they have one mouse that has that feature for people who enjoy it and another mouse like this one that doesn't to give people the diversity to choose what they want. Perfect mouse in my opinion. Please logitech if it ain't broke do not revamp it.

Logitech MX 1100 review
Excellent product - this mouse has made using the computer that much easier and also is great for people with larger hands. I haven't experienced any problems and I use this mouse 9-10 hours a day.
I highly recommend this wireless mouse!

Quality is worth the price...
Wow, to me this seemed like an expensive mouse. Then I started adding up the cheap mice I've bought lately that didn't last very long, and this one looked a lot more reasonable.
I love my logitech mouse, It feels good, it works great, even when I'm not actually on a mousepad I can find a surface that works, it seems to be very durable, and all went smoothly from the moment I took it out of the box. It was so frustrating with my last cheap mouse trying to get the cursor to move and having it decide my mousepad wasn't good enough, this thing is like the ferrarri of mice, and I'll never go back to a Yugo again!
Laser is much better than optical, and I love the fact that it's cordless. If someone kidnapped my logitech and held it for ransom, I would pay it's retail price in a heartbeat to get it back.

Logitech MX Series Mice are the Kings of the Hill
I have the MX Revolution which I love and is priced very close to this MX 1100. Both of these are in a class all by themselves. You'll get an idea of my feelings by reading my review on the MX-Rev, which at the time was a breakthrough in technology, and there features have been shared, and some of them have even been upgraded in my opinion on the MX-1100. You really should read the MX-Rev review to see the magic of the MX's; it's the first one at the top of the page. Logitech MX Revolution Cordless Laser Mouse
This review on the MX-1100 is a commentary on a few of the more profound upgrade issues. The document scroll wheel on the side of the MX Rev is in a position that actually gets in the way a little, but now has been submerged and embedded into the leather like side toward the base. By gently pushing down you can enjoy a quick application program switch on the fly. That way you can quickly maneuver between any of the programs you already have open.
Batteries vs. rechargeable: The MX-1100 now takes 2 AA batteries (which they include, Duracell's no less). At first I was disappointed that it wasn't a rechargeable like the MX-Rev, but then I realized that new technology can come to an old way of doing things. By conserving energy, Logitech claims a whopping 9 months of use on a single set of AA's, or should I say up to 9 months. What this means is that you no longer have to remember to park your mouse in the charger like with the MX-Rev before leaving your desk over night. The MX-Rev has lights that come on every time you touch the mouse, the MX-1100 has no such lights, and that's a battery saver. Although I have never had a battery problem with the MX-Rev, even with every day, all day use, others with a propensity to leave it on the desk overnight, instead of in the charger, have given it a battery life reputation that leaves something to be desired. With the MX-1100, between the incredibly long battery life, you always have the instant option of replacing them with new ones. The MX-Rev on the other hand, left out of the charger overnight etc., leaves you without any options other than to wait while it charges. They both offer you a convenient on-off button on the bottom to conserve even more power. To be honest with you occassionally I leave the MX-Rev out of the charger overnight, and still neve have any battery problems with it. I just don't do it very often, and never on 2 consecutive nights.
The outside shape of the MX's is almost exactly the same. I love them both the same, but I am putting the MX-1100 on the machine I use most of the time. Why? Just because the document scroll wheel feature on the MX-Rev is a larger wheel on the left side, and the MX-1100 moved that feature out of the way by embedding it into the leatherette covered base. Now my thumb comfortably rests all the way forward without the wheel getting in the way.
If you like a re-chargeable get the MX-Rev, if the double AA batteries 9 month promise attracts you, the MX-1100 is your mouse. Either one of these is a quantum leap ahead of any other mice I have used in precision, accuracy, and comfort; as well as advanced features. They are both highly recommended.
