XLNT Antenna!

(5 out of 5) by Blue Screen on Mar 2, 2009
Works as advertised. Try to put it near a window, or at least as high as possible in a place that you can point it. Depending on where your stations are located, you may need to turn it to pick up each one the best.

Ended up selling mine b/c I found out that my cable provider simulcasts in QAM, and my newer HDTV picks that up OK. (The older HDTV did not, though.)

Disappointed with the Winegard 3000 Indoor Antenna

(2 out of 5) by John H. Derry on Jul 9, 2009 (Poland Spring, Maine)
Rabbit ears and a converter box (3 channels received)work better than the Winegard 3000 antenna (only one channel received). Solution: Winegard 3000.....converter box......video input to digital TV. !

Piece of Junk

(1 out of 5) by K. Dooley on Jul 9, 2009
I bought this because I live next to the airport and have trouble getting a good signal. It really didn't work for me, so I traded antennas with a friend of mine who doesn't watch much TV and didn't care much. Well now he cares because he can't get a signal! This product was a big waste of money.

A Total DISAPPOINTMENT - Avoid this thing at all costs!

(1 out of 5) by Walter D. Wormack on Mar 7, 2009 (Chicago)
I bought the Winegard SS-3000 Amplified Indoor UHF/VHF Antenna, in preparation for the digital transition. Which got pushed back to 06/12/2009, wouldn't you know it! Anyway, the antenna was easy enough to assemble (I guess all that time I spent building plastic model kits paid off!) This antenna looks very impressive, but that's all it does - LOOK; This antenna looks like a radar array, and it can't find a decent signal AT ALL! I've spent DAYS, trying to position thing in various spots in my SRO apartment, with NO SUCCESS. I'm giving it 1 star, but it doesn't even deserve THAT! This was a total waste of $67.00

Winegard 3000ss Honest Review

(1 out of 5) by sportsguy on Feb 7, 2009
I bought this antenna thinking it was the best. Well, whoever is giving it great reviews must be on the winegard payroll. It worked about as good as no antenna. No, I take it back, I think no antenna worked better. It is an absolute piece of junk with about a half an hour of troubling assembly required. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME. I did. Amazon is a fantastic company though that you can count on for returns and they have a great customer service department.
