Does what it claims.
This is actually exactly what I was looking for in an iPhone dock: Decent size, decent sound (when the artificially heavy Bass Boost is switched off), works with the iPhone 3G with no GSM noise.
The sound is good, but not great. It's not going to replace my hi-fi, but for listening to music while falling asleep or listening to a ballgame while cooking, it's perfect. I use it with the FlipClock app as a clock radio.
So, yeah - if you're looking for a decent iPhone 3G dock solution, this seems like the only rational choice. Believe me, I looked.

Decent iPhone dock
I purchased this docking station for my wife's office so she could use her iPhone to play background music and charge the phone at the same time. It is certified to work with the iPhone 3GS, is a nice looking unit and comes with a fairly useful remote. I have another docking station with a remote that doesn't easily let me navigate the menus but it really only useful for switching tracks, pausing etc. The Sony remote, on the other hand, has menu navigation buttons so you can navigate from a song menu up a level to playlists, artists, albums etc. and I found that it worked quite well. I am a big audio guy so I wasn't very impressed with the overall sound quality. It doesn't play very loud before distorting so while it should be fine for her office for playing background music, I found it unacceptable when I tested it at our house. It gets even worse on the distortion when the bass boost is on. I think that was on by default and it sounded awful. It was better once that was disabled. For the price this docking station is about on par with others in the same price range and has a good feature set but if you really wanted to listen to music at home I would not recommend it. Perhaps a docking station that connects to your home stereo system would be better in that case or you may have to step up to the docking stations in the $400 to $600 range to get a B&W Zeppelin or maybe a Bose system.

Fulfills its goals
Good sound - natural, musical, balanced. Not as detailed as other ipod docks - sounds a bit lacking in treble energy - but not as harsh sounding either. Charges the latest generation nano (fall 2008), which, not all docks do that! Easy to use and beautiful LOOK!!!!

simple and good
Open the box, plug it in and it works. Decent sound quality - not nearly as good as the Bose wave system but at this price its great. Use the equalizer on your iPhone/Ipod to adjust the sound. Fits great on top of the fridge and fills the kitchen with music. I'm very pleased. If you need the best sound possible this is not your product. However, for its size, its relative portability, an extra audio input, and a surprisingly deep bass sound...and the price ... its perfect.

No frills but a good comact speaker for iPhone 3G
I used to own a Jensen speaker dock but it did not charge my iPhone 3G. It wasn't easy to find the one that satisfies the two criteria I had for the new speaker: (1) charges iPhone 3G, (2) has a decent sound quality. I looked some speakers from Logitech, Jensen, and some more brands almost for a month. I checked the online reviews as many as possible, and checked the ones at local stores as well. Some speakers have more fancy functions (e.g. Logitech's pure-fi Anytime had a motion sensor to turn off the alarm), I could not find the ones that satisfies two basic functions I needed - except for this one. I am happy with SONY SRSUG10iP.
This speaker has no frills. No motor sensor, no radio, no panel screen. But it does have the minimum functions I needed! It charges iPhone 3G, so I don't have to switch between a charger and a speaker as I used to do. Also, the quality of the sound is excellent for the speaker of this size. The sound is more crisp and deep than the competitor's models (I have tried some classic, jazz, and lounge music.) It fills my living room and kitchen area with quality sound. In addition, this speaker has a very sleek design and is a nice accent in the living room.
I am very happy with this product so far. It charges iPhone 3G, has great sound, and has a good design. For this size and price, this is a wonderful speaker!
