Great Cable for Frequent Use

(5 out of 5) by Nicholas D. Ford on Nov 29, 2009 (Severn, MD USA)
I got this cable after having gone through 3 others within a short period of time. So far this one has lasted longer than the any of the other three have. I use this in my car for listening to my iPod Touch, so it's constantly being plugged and un-plugged. The sound is good. The cable is fairly thick and sturdy so it hasn't shorted out like the others did.

Overall a great cable for use in the car.

Prevents tangles and clutter

Works great for the car when I used to be untangling cell phone and gps chargers from my audio cable. This one has the coils just like your chargers and eliminates the mess.

It has it's drawbacks

I bought this cable about a month ago. I had just installed a stereo system in my car and needed an aux cable to listen to music on my iphone.

The cable is not a horrible cable and most of the time get's the job done. When I first bought the cable I had no problems at all using it and the sound was good. Now all of a sudden I am having problems. When I try to use Navigon navigation software it constantly blocks the gps signal which renders the navigation capabilities of the phone useless. Also sometimes I here a hiss coming from my stereo when I use the cable.

I would recommend getting a better cable. Exactly what I am on Amazon searching for now. I possibly might try belkin.

Perfect Audio Cable For The Car! Reduce Clutter!!

(5 out of 5) by A. Stagg on Jul 2, 2009 (Virginia, USA)
I really like this cable and it's my favorite so far. I don't know why other manufacturers have not been producing coiled cables like this. Really reduces clutter. Plus, Griffin cable are designed so that they easily plog into the headphone jack on your iPod/iPhone even if you have a protective case on them. Well built and sturdy.

I also purchased the coiled iPhone/iPod cable and charger, Griffin PowerJolt SE Car Charger with Coiled Cable for iPod and iPhone 1G (Black). Says it is for 1G on Amazon, but works fine with my 3G.

Unfortunately, my car has ground loop issues which have resulted in background noise, so I've been forced to use Griffin Noise Reducing Audio Cable for iPod, iPhone or MP3 player, but I vastly prefer the design of this product.

great product. Not 3ft or 6ft in length. Just right. Does its job well. just a hint since I had never used this in my car before: Turn the iPod Volume up so you dont have to turn the stereo to max.
