I've had this battery for just a day, but I'm very happy with the performance so far. I run an HP Dv9000t with Vista Ultimate, so it demands a lot of power. Depending upon what I'm doing, I can get around 3 solid hours from this battery versus the one installed by HP which got around 2 or less. Also, this 12 cell is a fair bit cheaper than standard HP 9 cell. If you don't mind the extra weight and bulk (which bulges out from the bottom of the laptop) than this is the far superior battery.

This is a good replacement battery, although it is a little annoying at times the way it sticks out. My laptop is already a pretty large one and this makes it even more bulky. However, I knew it would be like that when I bought it. The positive is that it helps keep the computer cooler by creating extra space underneath.

I ordered one of these batteries several weeks ago. After recycling it four times, it lasted only about two hours. I ran HP's battery check and the battery tested as defective. I returned the battery to Brilliant Store and it was promptly replaced. The second battery was recycled 4 times and the battery check run. Battery check indicated that this one had bad cells and that it should be replaced. This was sent back for a prompt refund. Still I am out about $20 for postage for the original order and returns. I am now trying a Ray-O-Vac purchased locally. If it doesn't work, I can return it without postage.

I have had this battery for about 2 weeks now and it has been working great. I get around 4 hours of battery life on my dv9200 laptop now when I got 3 hours on the HP battery that died. It dose bulge out from the bottom but it actually makes the laptop easier to use when typing and keeps the laptop cooler. Also while in the car I rest the laptop on my leg where the battery is and it dose not make my lap as hot when working on it. I did some battery life tests and it dose do well with the great demand that my laptop gives it for example I can actually play high end games with this battery with out it going dead like Crysis (I was very surprised about this.) and Rainbow Six Vegas 2 with no problem. When playing a game it dose make the battery die faster but not that much but I expected this. All and all this is a great battery and worth buying. It would be nice to see where it was made and by who but I could probably guess where. (Made in China and a generic battery company.) If you want insane battery life get this because this was hard to find any 12 cell battery anywhere.

I am very pleased with the replacement laptop battery. My original battery died while being used when running on 110V power. Seems strange that would happen; the result was that the battery was unusable.

I plan on charging the new battery, then replacing it with the old battery when running on 110V power so that the same thing won't happen to the new battery.
