Internet USB radio

(5 out of 5) by L. S. Walden on Apr 23, 2009 (Atlanta, GA)
This is so easy to use and has great reception (depending on your wireless service), I bought 3 - one for myself, one for my son-in-law, and one to keep at work. It does everything the ad says it does but better. Just plug it in your computer's usb port and off you go. News and music from all over the world just as clear as the stations from 20 miles away. I love this new toy.

Great little device

(4 out of 5) by C. Briggs on Apr 15, 2009 (Lehigh Valley, PA)
I bought the Aluratek because radio reception in our community is low, and I also wanted to have easy access to European stations. It works quite easily, both on my laptop and older desktop- the software is occasionally fidgety, but not too much of a problem. Once I set up my favorites list I can switch between NPR, CBC-Ottawa, news from Ireland, Hungary, Norway, etc. Best of all I can receive Classic FM from the UK, which is restricted to UK residents over the Web. The sound quality is not at CD-level and even with a high-speed cable connection it cuts out every once in a while, but not any worse than a normal radio.

A little wonder

(4 out of 5) by Howg490 on Dec 14, 2008
The Aluratek Internet Jukebox is an absolutely fabulous device. I am having some difficulty with it in that there are annoying periodic gaps in the reception. The tech support people have been quite responsive, but as yet have not come up with the solution. The overall novelty and enjoyment is so great, however, that I don't hesitate to recommend it (I have ordered two more to give as gifts to my grandchildren) despite any glitches.

Excellent product. I plug it in while I'm on the computer and have fun finding interesting stations around the globe. I recommend it.

Music Galore!

(5 out of 5) by Estapho on Aug 23, 2008 (Fullerton, CA)
I can't believe this technology. I just plugged it into the USB port on my laptop at home that's connected to internet and the media browser automatically launched giving me instant access to music stations all over the world. I love the search by region feature which looks sort of like google earth and it allows you to simply click on the region you want to access then lists all the available countries. I use other free internet radio websites but I have yet to find something like this that organizes all the available music by country and genre for you and best of all no advertisements. This is an awesome product and very cheap.
