Works as advertised, but pay for free content

(2 out of 5) by L. Brownfield on Aug 5, 2009 (Ohio USA)
The product is just as advertised, except that I was prompted to install software. However, I think it was just an update to software I currently have (flash, active x, etc - can't remember). Furthermore, it seems to me that the same radio stations can be found for free on the internet without payung for this product. This just makes them easier to find. In the end, I don't mind paying the low cost for this product. Also, just FYI, a mac compatible product is coming out soon...

Internet Radio Made Easy

(4 out of 5) by Michael J. White on Jun 24, 2009 (Longmont, CO United States)
I travel on business trips and find myself using my laptop more and more for music to work by or relax. There are only a couple of streaming radio stations I use and know them by heart but this product has changed the way I listen to music on the radio. Now when I travel it's so simple to plug in the Alurtek to my USB port, scroll through the pull down menu and select a genre of music to listen to. The price can't be beat for the number of free radio stations this product allows you to listen to, it's highly recommended !

Best purchase I ever made. Just waiting to go over seas to really smile in earnest. Already recommeded to several friends.

you can get everything this "toy" offer on the net. But, it does work, and it's a handy toolto find Ip radio stations.

Useful Every Day

(5 out of 5) by Springbok1906 on Jun 2, 2009 (Boyertown PA)
I use the Aluratek daily. I have owned it for over 2 months. I have cable internet access ie not dial up. Thousands of stations as listed. Good search capabilities. Until they find a way to charge us, the radio stations are free.

I was looking for two stations in South Africa that were not available. After finding the URL's and sending them to Aluratek - one week later they were there.

Saving favourites to My Favourites is the easiest way to get what I want - there is just too much choice otherwise
I highly recomend this product. It is not perfect - if the Web has problems it will have problems livestreaming - but that is a rare problem. Obviously there is a slight time delay on reality, but this is so convenient as my One Source for internet radio.
